Welp.... What are the chances we win a playoff game?

Cam has to play A+ the entire game.

Cam has to play lights out to just for the Panthers to keep up with what the Saints offense is capable of doing.  Our D has to get at least a couple of turnovers along the way as well.

Not impossible by any means, but don't count on Ron and his coaching staff to provide any edge, their poor game plan preparation is a constant millstone around the players necks.

We really don't have the right personnel to deal with the Saints the way Wilks wants. One thing about Luke is that he sucks at blitzing, and Wilks wants to blitz with the MLB. Even a little RB can own Luke when he's trying to blitz. Just not good. It's worse that TD is slow and weak now so you can forget about his once awesome blitzing ability.

Coleman is terrible in coverage, and against taller faster players he's a major liability in tackling. He also has weak legs that prevent him from jumping more than an inch in the air. Spooky bad. Like who can't jump in the air?

Did RR know that Wilks was going to blitz with Captain this much? Holy smokes. If we're going to do that then why didn't we draft a more talented CB? Captain is near the end of his career. Stop blitzing him. It's hard to watch.

Does anyone else think our LBs are making more mistakes than usual with run gaps ect? The Saints especially make Luke and the rest of our LBs look awful.

I'm not looking forward to this Saints game at all. We go down early and it's over.

So what has to happen? Honestly I wouldn't blitz much because we don't have the right personnel for it. Next draft we can pick up the players for what Wilks wants to do, but for now back off. It's not going to work on the Saints. How can we stop the Saints playing more coverage and backing off. It would seem they'd just pick us apart. They will, but the key to our outdated grandpa zone is what happens after the catch. In the old days you just rammed the receiver in the head and he dropped the ball and suffered brain damage. You can't do that anymore, but we still have to force turnovers after the catch. Superior athletes going against lesser athletes tend to become arrogant and focus on racking up YAC. That's where a poop athlete like Adams and our other DBs have a mental advantage. Each and everyone one of our DBs needs to be focused on causing a fumble after the catch. The peanut punch needs to be in full effect. We've got to punch the ball out, or pry it loose any way possible. Adams had this in mind here and it worked:

You guys are not giving the Panthers enough credit. If we can just contain Karmara and prevent the short pass, we be aight. What needs to happen is if we get the lead... to keep the lead... and not back down, dont let the foot off the gas... just keep going.

Go back and watch the last Panthers Saints game. Brees had multiple targets available to throw to on every pass play, and any one of those targets had a huge mismatch to exploit. Brees was literally trying to decide not who was open, but who would do the most damage on that play. When you see that you know it's no contest. It's not competitive. We have to force fumbles to make the game competitive, or Cam has to play A+ the entire game.

Hopefully we use CAP and not Shaq to cover WRs this time.

We don't really deserve much credit. We have limped into the playoffs and are probably playing the best team in the playoffs.

Their Coleman will make Shaq look totally useless and stupid. Shaq is not agile enough to cover elite WRs. Our Coleman, the king of false steps, will be completely obliterated by Kamara. Kamara vs Coleman is the greatest mismatch any Panthers player has ever had against any Saints player. Coleman is complete poop, and Kamara plays like a HOF RB. No contest. We might as well line Haruki Nakamura up against Reggie Bush in his prime. Totally ridiculous.

BUT if our defensive players focus on stripping the ball we might have a chance. Kamara will be looking to break a long one toward the endzone against poop Coleman, but if we rally and flow to the ball we can gang tackle and look for a strip. The key is not to expect the world from poop players, but to focus their minds on looking to pry or punch the ball out.

Just Watched “first things first” with cris carter who was not complimentary about cams passing ability and lack of consistency. I think our success will be based on our ability to rack up rushing yards as we dont have much of a passing game with the wide receiver group etc

Read option, designed runs for Cam, get it to CMC in space, throw to Olsen on his seam route, try some trick plays, razzle dazzle, back shoulder pass to Funchess, mix it up. We need to win at the point of attack, and getting Turner back is critical.

Well, that has a 0.00000000001% chance of happening....

We aren't built to stop the short passes also, since our corners play 10+ yards off the receivers every down.

The Saints haven't beaten anyone who placed above them and lost last week to a team that is 5-11.  We had a bad game and still beat TB.   Saints are NOT the best team in the playoffs, they're record is same as ours, except they haven't beaten a top 5 team in either conference.
