Welp.... What are the chances we win a playoff game?

I was actually hoping to play the Rams, based on the chance that their youth & inexperience catches up with them. The Saints have our number this year.

And while people will say it's tough to beat a team 3 times in a season, it happens more often than not.

This. Out of all the scenarios we could have had this was the worst. New Orleans winning yesterday would have been better

Let's remember all the mistakes that cost us the last time we played the Saints:

-Shaq missing a tackle on Kamara at the goal line

-Peppers getting a personal foul on an out of bounds hit

-Palardy mishandling a snap on a punt

-Clay muffing a punt

There was also giving up a 72 yard run when we were in an 8-man front where Kuechly completely blew his gap assignment, that won't happen again.

Look, this team is what is. We aren't dynamic enough on offense to cover up for not playing a clean game, unless it's some poo heap team like Tampa. Cam actually played a pretty good game that day, without Olsen and with Byrd doing nothing. No reason to believe we can't win if we avoid those self inflicted mistakes that led directly to points by the Saints and generate a bit more offense with Olsen back.

Olsen wasn't exactly devastating yesterday.

If the Panthers beat the Saints the NFL may have scripted us to win the Superbowl.

I don't buy into the scenarios of the NFL being rigged, but accepting that premise, rigging it for us after what happened with Richardson would look pretty bad.

So taking the ball away and getting a stop on downs is "freak"? Duly noted...

Great plays no doubt, but definitely divergent from the EV of two trips to the goal line. Regression to the mean would be expected over a larger sample (or in another game).

Holy poo I’ve never seen the huddle this pessimistic about any game ever. We are going to beat the Saints and then we are all going to lose our minds.

... and I'd be perfectly happy with that. But I don't believe right now....
