wasn't extended length of time...he tried to squeeze another year out of him without a backup plan ...funny thing is we knew he was pretty much a 1 yr stop gap and G-man didn't bring anyone in to take over after that...

Oher was the solution. Nobody at all could’ve predicted him getting a phantom concussion that ended his career. He was great in ‘15 and a huge reason we made it to the SB.

And for this year DG solidified 4 spots on the OL plus decent depth, AND the entire starting DL plus arguably the best depth there in the league. Fault him for secondary but he gave us some of the best hog mollies in the league overall. What I think you, and many others, don’t realize is that 25+ teams, including many that are successful, don’t have great LTs. They’re damn hard to find. Picking out one weakness as an argument as to why a GM is bad is ridiculously stupid. Every single team will have weaknesses. You have to look at the big picture.

am i the only one that is excited to see what the passing game looks like next year with a healthy samuel and byrd alongside funch, olsen, and cmc?

i don't have a problem with adding someone else, but i also wouldn't be upset at all if we rolled with who we've got. both samuel and byrd were looking really good before they got hurt. really big play potential in these two. i'm also liking the potential in clay as well.

we've got the potential for a pretty dynamic offense just with who we've got. wouldn't object to getting another TE, but i feel good with a healthy version of the current cast.

sorry but he was never a long term or even multi yr fix... he was a stop gap...i never  complained about the Dline...its funny hogmollies would include LT and we never got there...that was my only point and that was what i said...it was one reason i didnt like him and I dont miss him...it's not the only reason

he was never the solution...and G-man failed to produce the big picture at LT...

stop gap by definition is temporary while you work another plan... he never worked another plan and it bit us in the end...

Every player is "temporary." There was absolutely zero reason to think Oher couldn't have been here playing at that level for 4-5 years plus. None.

maybe for you...but then you would be mistaken now wouldn't you...I said it when he came here as did many others... we were excited that he could give a year breathing room as G-man finally brought in some young talent to groom under him...that was our mistake...
