Give the guy lead back carries of 15 to 18 carries per game then Let’s see what we got.  Either a Faulk/Barber or a third down scatback

Does he have to be either or?  If he is a third down scatback, wouldn't that mean he's in on less than 1/3 of the plays?  Yet he's in on 80% of the offensive plays.

Don't try to fit him into a box.  Its easier that way.  He's a runner, pass-catcher, chain-mover, decoy, etc.   He is a unique weapon and is only getting better.

Similar to Cam in that regard.  Cam isn't just a running QB, or a pocket passer, or a gun slinger...he seems to be able to do it all...like CMC.

CMC won't lead the league in rushing, just like Cam won't lead the league in passer rating or TD to INT%....but CMC could lead the league in receptions, and Cam can absolutely lead the league in rushing, and rushing TDs for a QB.

Both of them are Swiss Army knives that can be called on differently than most at their positions.

I agree.  And Shula never gets any credit for coordinating these unique talents into an effective offense.  Shula will have some baffling play calls at times, but his offenses have produced for the most part over the years.

Let's compare McCaffrey's YPC to Fournettes because it fits our narrative.  Let's completely ignore comparing him to Hunt or Kamara because it DOESN'T fit our narrative.  Ah, the Huddle will truly Huddle when they need to.

compare their offensive situations - in which they the perfect scheme and/or star surrounding talent - to cmc where he's literally a one man show next to Cam.

but let's ignore that since it doesn't fit your narrative.

And then, let's use excuses because we want to make sure it fits our narrative.  Petty.

Can't compare Fournette's YPC - being used very differently vs. McCrapfrey.

I hate to admit it but he's partially right here.

Fournette is being used a lot like Todd Gurley was his first year - to mask a weakness. The Jags passing game is pedestrian at best, and Blake Bortles is a very mediocre QB, and Fournette's low YPC is because how much they pound the rock with him to make Bortle throw as little as possible.

However -- that doesn't make CMac bad or any less important to this team. He's very important to this team and is much needed part of the puzzle.

Ive already compared Kamara to McCaffrey in a bunch of different threads. Really Kamara is the most copamparable player in the league to CMC right now in terms of hows hes used and the fact that they have the same number of receptions and almost the same # of overall touches.

Very obvious that Kamara is better right now, but he's also in a better system with maybe the most accurate QB of all time throwing him the ball and a much better HC/OC, much better oline on the year.

He probably wouldnt have Kamaras stats but I'm guessing CMC would have alot more yards in teh Saints or Patriots kind of system. CMC runs quite well when the line gives him space, his problem is not being able to create much when things are bottled up and not being able to slip/break tackles

Both are dynamic playmakers that you can’t fit into a box. People are always trying to compare players to other players. Cam Newton is one of a kind and McCaffrey is the ultimate Swiss Army knife. It amazes me how much people complain about the two of them. I know I am going to dread the day Cam is no longer under center just like I dreaded the day Smith was no longer a PAnther
