I think you are focused on Ken Lucas' ending here.  Ken Lucas balled out when brought in for that 2005 season. 

Hurney's early years here, that window.....was damn good.  It was the second half of his tenure that brings his resume down.....because he sucked.  But early on Hurney was strong.

mike wahle never lived up to the money he got paid due to the fact that he was one of the best pulling guards in the league at the time and the panthers signed him to start on a power running/play action offensive scheme lol

I liked Gentleman's emphasis on defensive line.  I think offensive tackle deserved more attention than he gave it.  I thinking releasing  nearly  the entire defensive secondary  in 2016 (not just Norman) and replacing it with rookies was a mistake.  

Overall, I thought he was a good GM.  I think Hurney has learned some from his mistakes and others are right, that he is going to be here a while longer than originally announced.

also ken lucas, for all of his tenacity as a corner in the 2005 regular season, got his ass beat by seahawks backup qb seneca wallace in the nfc championship game that season. i’ll never forget it. he never played close to what he was in 2005 after that.

Dave Gettleman made mistake after mistake and lets be honest he only had one good draft and that was his first draft when he drafted Starr and KK everything after that has not been that great.

Steve Smith is why Steve Smith hasn’t retired as a Panther.

Norman could have just signed the tender and none of that would have happened.

Im a Smitty4lyfe guy.  But if he doesn’t come back that’s on him.

The release of Norman and Smitty is why some people will always hate Gettleman. 

Steve was old and demanding alot of money we did not have because of hurndog contracts

J NO was asking for money Gettleman  wanted to use at different positions.
