Our defense was pretty bad last year.  One of the worst pass defenses in the league.  It has actually improved dramatically this year.  If you are referring to 2015, the tools were definitely not about the same.  Almost the entire secondary was different.  

Talent last year was lacking. We did improve with Adams and Peppers anchoring our defense. As it stands now we are ranked 10 in the NFL. That's not a jaw dropped number when you have one of the best defensive minds as HC.

Our defense hasn't been raped like it has this year. Wilks is green as a DC and it shows.
