Good for Wilks, I like seeing talented people succeed. that said if Wilks leaves i would like to see Ron hire someone outside of the organization.

That said, I do see him getting a head coaching opportunity somewhere. It just might not be New York.

He'll get an opportunity at some point by likely at least 1-2 years down the road. I don't think there's any real chance of him getting a job this year.

The NFL put him on their recommended interview list. And I think he might be the only minority coach on there.

At the very least, he's going to get interviews.

DB coach. Again, he’s only been DC for a year. You’d call someone crazy or idiotic if they suggested one of DG’s draft picks or CMC was a bust after a year. Saying Wilks is “not good” after one year as head of the defense is equally as idiotic. Especially when his defense is one of the top defenses in the league

Wilks taking Washington or Holcomb with him is a real possibility.

He got two head coaching interviews last year when he hadn't even been a defensive coordinator yet. 

He's also on the NFL's list of recommended interviewees, so clearly they think he's head coaching material.
