How many fired GMs in the history of the NFL have gotten a new head GM job within 6 months of being let go?  I bet this is unprecedented.  Only goes to show how idiotic of an owner we've been saddled with the last few years.  But hey, Hurney was gonna re-sign all his favorite dinner guests, and you can't put a price on family!

I took a quick look at the Giants financial situation.  Looks like in addition to the #2 pick, he will have around 32 mil to play with (assuming he dumps Brandon Marshall).  That's a lot of money to start turning things around.

The Giants have some decent talent.  But they really got hammered with injuries this year.  There is a lot of money sitting on IR.

I think he keeps eli around another year - it will be less painful financially to dump him next year.

OBJ will play out 2018, then walk.  Dave likes his comp picks.  If he could trade him for a 2nd, I bet he does it.

It he uses the 2nd pick on a LT, this place will go apeshit.  That will be entertaining.  If he's smart, he'll draft Eli's eventual replacement.  One thing we know he will not do is trade down, even though that probably makes the most sense.

Prior to the last draft, it seemed Gettleman’s philosophy for his ideal offense was terrible. Didn’t account for athleticism and just accounted freak physical stature.

While he finally gave Cam weapons the last draft, it was late. Then again, he did attempt to build up the defense first and give it a future.

Belichick wasn't the GM of the Pats when Brady was drafted so I'm not so sure he can get much credit for the Patriots success.
