1. that sounds like a mike shula problem. gettleman cannot really meddle with the play design, or even fire shula since he’s no longer the GM.

I wouldn't be so sure about that.

If you look back at the teams Gettleman got his Super Bowl rings with, they all had offensive coaches (Coughlin and Shanahan were two). Gettleman also would be well acquainted with Frank Reich from his Buffalo days and the Giants don't have an owner that insists on defensive coaches.

Wilks could be an option too, but Gettleman will have a lot more freedom in New York than he would have had here.
