poo the person most sad about losing JR has to be Hurney.

Fingers crossed the new owners were paying attention circa 2009-2010.

Hurney as an interim GM is just fine, even if he gets one draft. As long as he's not trading future picks, he usually does OK in April.

Close but that award goes to Bersin.

Hurney has made enough money in his lifetime thanks to JR that he won’t be too upset if he’s forced into retirement.

Bersin has got a very nice head start in life but I hope for his sake he hasn’t been dumb with his money

6-10 and the worst secondary in the NFL in 2016.

how'd that turn out?

turned into CMC and a 11-4 season. turned into at least a decent CB in Bradberry. we were due for some regression from 15-1 and lost multiple games by less than 7 points. arguably could have made the playoffs if we didnt blow 3 late leads last year mainly due to coaching (KC, TB, and OAK games specifically).

The fact that there are Panthers fans that can find a perceived "win" in touting DG's positives while overlooking the negatives when we're heading into the playoffs with Devin Funchess and a crew of glorified waterboys at WR while the Saints are throttling teams with Ted Ginn who DG let walk for a few million a year tells you all you need to know about the Panthers fanbase.

It can't be overstated how badly this reflects on the franchise, specifically the (outgoing) ownership.  Retread coaches getting hired within a few months is one thing, but almost always when GMs are sacked, it's due to very poor performance spanning over several seasons.  These guys get close to five years a stop at minimum, usually, so the track record is there.  The ones that get fired stay fired.  Like Hurney before JR signed him off the street to give extensions to his supper buddies.  That our former GM was hired not even a year - not even half a year! - after being terminated, that they were hired by what's considered one of the best ownership groups in the NFL, really really really goes to show how badly our perverted, racist, idiotic, meddling wrinkled turd of an outgoing owner fuged up.  Damn you JR

Which matters more: Whether we win or lose or the players we do it with?
