Pretty sure you were calling people white trash Donald Trump supporters for defending Jerry who is involved in a sexual harrassment investigation. Other than race shaming there was little racial context at all. He probably just doesnt like you.

Being a Donald Trump supporter isn't the key variable that leads to the dynamic I was addressing. What is however is the distinct immediate need to blame "outrage" or "social justice" when men who abuse power and wealth are *gasp* actually expected to be held accountable for their actions.

Well, if they're tight enough to warrant comments about how they wiggled into them, they are not appropriate to wear into a professional environment.

Nothing ever warrants those comments at work. If one of my male coworkers comes in wearing a tight shirt and I can see his pecks that doesn't mean its OK for me to say whatever I want about the way he looks.

Also that's some serious assumptions your making regarding the stories that were told.

Sexual assault? If he commited sexual assault why isnt this investigation being run by law enforcement? You cant swap words and present them as facts.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sexual_assault

Sexual assault is a sexual act in which a person is coerced or physically forced to engage against their will. It is also defined as non-consensual sexual touching of a person. Sexual assault is a form of sexual violence which includes rape (forced vaginal, anal or oral penetration or drug facilitated sexual assault), groping, child sexual abuse or the torture of the person in a sexual manner.

In other instances, Richardson is said to have performed "back rubs that lingered too long or went too low down the spine" or attempted to buckle the seat belt of female passengers, which would allow him to "[brush] his hand across their breasts before putting the belt in the clasp."

You've never been on the receiving end of an inappropriate comment about your clothing/body while wearing something you thought was reasonable? I think we all know this wasn't about jeans painted on SO TIGHT that Jerry Richardson just HAD to comment on them, and then go around and inspect every other female employee's jeans too, every week.

I get that you're offering a pragmatic solution to the situation, but Richardson was in the wrong. I've had a female employee wear something too revealing before, and I asked another female in HR to address it with her. I didn't point it out in front of everyone and make a thing out of it.

Wikipedia? I agree the things he did were inappropriate and creepy but consent is in question too. "Seat belt maneuver" was apparently a known thing by everyone in the office, to me, they have to ask him not to do it or it is consenting contact. If he was massaging someone and they asked him to stop and he continued... that would be the withdrawal of consent. I haven't seen any allegations of contact going beyond brushing up and a massage. I want to hear definitively from someone that he threatened or continued without consent before this gets described as assault. Right now, all I see is inappropriate behaviour.

Lol @ having to ask someone not to touch you inappropriately. Everyone knows you do not touch women or men in their private areas. You shouldn’t have to ask someone not to do that.

We all know massaging isn’t something that should be done at the work place. We all know that. I don’t have to ask you not to do that. Jeez, man. I’d be scared for my daughter to be around some of you.

Wealth and power play a role here but its actually hurting him. If he was an average joe and brushed up against a woman's breast, he might get slapped. Because he's wealthy he had to write a large check. None of the allegation thus far would land him in jail, rich or poor. But his wealth and power make this headline news. If he was being treated like "everyone else" he might lose his job at most for a backrub that lingers too long.

The Donald Trump situation is different in almost every way. People still voted for him because he was the only republican option. And they were willing to make that choice rather than elect Hillary Clinton. Then again Clinton was willing to stay with someone who had a checkered history with inappropriate workplace behavior because it was in her best interest. I think what Trump did was probably worse than anything Jerry did. And it hurt him less. Sometimes its not about justice or equality. Just circumstances.
