I don't need him to say a thing. His silence has told me everything I need to know. This team is his legacy, or it was, until all of this came out. If he settled out of court back then just to avoid being drug through the mud for things he didn't actually do, then NOW would be the time to fight back, not sell the team and try to fade away.  He did it, or enough of it that there was sufficient evidence to warrant paying people off.

If local reporters at the Observer sat on this information for years while they couldn't wait to spend several days blasting Cam Newton for idiotic sexist remarks then there is no reason to listen to anything they have to say about this now.

Feel free to quote me, I'm right here. 

As I said, this is my perception of those guys... I feel like they're more interested in the clicks and name recognition than really making some profound difference. Whether it's Andy Gray, Jonathan Jones, or Wertheim and Bernstein, I'll gladly lump them all together. That's my opinion. Jones saying these guys have been hung out to dry seems like a little bit of a reach to me. If he had a single quote, even anonymous, of a current player who said he was uncomfortable of the position that Richardson's silence has put him in... then I'd agree that they'd been hung out to dry. 

To me, this sounds more like Jones whining that he doesn't have more to write about.

Remember way back before Darin Gantt got on the wrong side of Mister and lost his job with the Observer? Everyone here LOVED him for shooting straight and scooping other reporters. After he was blacklisted, the 'Darin Gantt SUCKS!' posts starting coming out of the wood works.
