say Goodbye to Sonny Harris

If you're talking about Nick Hayden, you need to go back and watch him in the Redskins game. He looked a lot better since he didn't have to try to play the 3 technique on every down. He just don't have the bulk or the experience to pull that off. And once again, John Fox didn't just let Harris go, he was fair game while he was on the PS. Fox has acquired players the same way before. There is no use crying about it, because that's just how the NFL works.

Maybe by "better" you meant "less completely embarrassing", because Hayden had 0 tackles, 0 assists, 0 sacks versus Washington.

He's a bad joke.

I'd have liked to keep Harris, but he was just going to be a PS player this year. Not the teams fault he was signed away.

There is no way that's true, because I saw Hayden tackle the QB for no gain with my own eyes, in fact, that actually could have been a sack. Stats don't really matter that much with DT's anyway, because many times they're taking up blockers and/or redirecting them so somebody else can fill the gap make the tackle. Anyway, my point was that Hayden wasn't getting blown off the ball like he was before.

Hayden should've been cut instead of Harris when we picked up Thomas. Harris is a few pounds heavier than Hayden, but has shown alot of potential while Hayden gets abused. Now Dick Lebeau wanted him and brought him back and Harris is now on their 53 man squad. I think the opinion of Lebeau far out weighs anyone on our staff of what talent is. So now we're left with Hayden who gets pushed around by linemen while Harris had lots of potential and is now on a Lebeau defense. Fox messed up this one.

Hmmm, a practice squad guy gets picked up to make the roster on the World Champion Steelers... good luck to him and I hope it is the beginning of a great career, wish him the best.

If he had been a perfect fit here, he'd have a uniform and a roster spot, we do need help, after all. So now he's gone from practice squad minimum wage to real player's wages and a shot. Like I said, good luck man, hope to see you play us in the Super Bowl some day.

Well, we didn't let Harris go in the first place, he was signed by another team and there was nothing Fox could do about it. Obviously, he wasn't as good as you seem to think though, or he would have been playing. You might think you know what's going on inside the Panthers organization, but you don't. CJ has not outplayed Brayton and Jarrett has not outplayed Moose.

First of all he was cut there was no way he can get to the PS or be signed by another team without first being cut. Second as he was on the PS any team that offers him a contract has to see if we match the offer and upgrade him to the 53. So we screwed up twice the initial cut and then the no action when the Steelers made him an offer. Like I said this is just another stupid decision by a FO that in the recent months have made a living making stupid decision.

from what i have been told..when i team wants to sign a guy off another teams PS the teams he is with has the option first to put him on there 53 man roster..so yes fox let him go..and what i have been talking about goes on with most teams.Sometimes the bestplayer does not win..for lots of reasons..if you think its different your crazy.CJ has def outplayed Brayton. And I did not say Jarrett outplayed Moose.I said from what i have heard he is playing good in practice he is just not on the field.
