Payton understands three things as well as any coach I've ever seen: 1) how to create matchups  2) how to exploit matchups and 3) how to set up picks. The route designs in his plays are a work of art.

Great backs have done more with less.. look at stew and dlow did it while sharing carries and no way they both got 20 a game. Kamara and Ingram were close and Kamara didn’t play much at the start of the year due to Peterson.

I get the argument that we can't judge CMC as an RB until he gets more carries. It's fair, the problem is it comes with risk. Our WRs are badly denuded atm and CMC has been used very successfully as a 3rd down back. If you feed him like an every down back his injury risk increases especially if they ask him to run like JS. He also might lose his edge in an area where hes been key for us on 3rd downs. At this stage of the season im just not sure if its worth it to prove the point that he can be an effective RB.

cmc is far better refined as a receiver and route runner than kamara could ever hope to be. don't let your blind homerism overtake that my dude, because sean peyton's system is perfect for kamara to use simpler concepts to more success.

 

Watch the games. Kamara does plenty of work against corners and safties.

nothing has shown me that kamara is even close to being better than cmc as a route runner. just like nothing has shown me cmc is better than kamara as a runner.

any objective analyst would say that and see that. cmc's on another level when it comes to route running and being a receiver compared to kamara, and kamara's on another level as a runner.

however, both are still really good at receiving and running, and that's all that really matters.

This thread isnt about kamara and this isnt a saints board. Nobody here is makig categorical statements about kamara vs CMC except you. If you choose to believe that he is a better receiver thats your problem but it comes across as attention-seeking.

Not important. Comparison is fine but making incendiary statements like CMC is better at nothing than Kamara on another teams forum is the definition of arrogance and in no way enhances the value of this thread.
