We're getting the bye

I could absolutely see the Niners beating the Rams, especially if the Rams are resting starters. The Niners are playing good football right now. If they had played like this all season they would be in the playoff chase.

I give the Bears maybe a 10% shot at the Vikings. Divisional games are always a bit of a toss up due to the familiarity of the teams and rivalry aspect.

Saints vs. Bucs, see above.

So, based on that, my personal opinion based on shoddy math is that we have a less than 1% chance of getting the bye seeing as that we are relying on two 10% scenarios and one, let's call it a 50/50 scenario. What does that equal? One half of a percent chance? Yeah, it's not good.

I think the Bucs have a decent or dare I say good chance.  Same for the 49ers.  But the Bears?  10% max.

Vikings are locked into the 2 seed UNLESS we win, the Aints lose AND the Rams lose... Or they win. They may think that even if they rest starters and lose they'll still be locked into the 2 seed, so it's possible they don't play all that hard to win and the Bears pull it out... And the Bears beat us and the Steelers this year so it's not like they're the Browns or Giants...

Also seems extremely likely with the Rams resting starters that Jimmy G wins again. I think the whiners would have a decent chance even with the Rams going all out to win. Without Gurley, Whitworth, Goff, Donald maybe I don't see how the Rams win.

I am less confident about a Bucs upset though. They've played us and the Falcons hard recently but still it's unlikely.

Since we need so much to happen, of course it's still VERY unlikely, however I don't think it's as far out or impossible as some believe. We should win, Rams should lose and the other two may be like 40-60 games.

Either way, if we win and the Rams lose, which is likely, then I'll be pretty happy with our playoff positioning. We'd either get 2-3 seed and have a bye or at least home playoff game OR as a wildcard we get past the Rams and then probably get the Eagles and then likely Vikings. Not too challenging of a road to MN this year in my opinion.

These last weekends work in mysterious says. Everyone who needs to lose will lose, except Seattle who will sneak in. Somehow the Katrinas will manage to fall to Tampa. We will squeak by and completely deflate Failcons, and the Vikings will lose. It'll fall into place.

I got $100 all that doesn’t happen.

Don’t disappear now bro, you’ve got an opportunity here to make a lot of $

This is the same guy who offered a bet on something that is literally impossible. I agreed to put up $10k but didn't get a response.

OP if you really want to bet on something with a .3% chance of happening at least try to get some odds.

Are y'all gonna meet after school to fight if this doesn't work out?

    • For the silly people that worship her it will be that.  The Coleman 'legend' thing, they did that with another fairly average player that was here and I sort of mocked or questioned the 'legend' status. Instantly caught crap for insulting someone's favorite Panther. So okay, Kurt Coleman is a Legend.
    • You allow him to compete--you all are talking as if I am proposing making him the starter. Give him a new coach, new weapons, good OL, etc. and see what happens. You are saying, "Well Damn.  It did not work for 3 guys..."  Right now, our C is injured, we lost our top 2 WRs.  Better question:  If you need a QB, Why would you not take a chance on bringing in a QB who was a former first rounder, a good arm, intelligence, mobility, youth, etc.  and see how he does out of NY--with a better OL, better running game, better receivers.  I am not saying give him a 10-year contract, I am saying give him a chance. You act like there is no improvement on offense here--it was a 2 year process, and next year is year 2.  To me, how can you sit there with Bryce and an opportunity to sign a veteran QB on the cheap comes available and you say--"Not us. We're good.  We are waiting for Patrick Mahommes."  Jone's problem is obviously mental--and he has little support.  Why is this so frigging hard to comprehend.  It is called "bottom fishing" and it is better than sitting in the boat.
    • I think we're going to fall from behind quite early and be forced to abandon the run game.  3 rushes -2 yards 1 catch -10 yards
