Of course it's preferable we have a veteran WR in as well, but a group of a Veteran WR1, Funchess, Samuel, and Byrd would be hella good.

The Panthers problems aren't what we have but the quality of what we have. It feels like we are always holding out hope for a guy to work out because we took a long shot.

Are you trolling? This is literally the most succesful run in Panthers history. 4 playoff appearances in 5 seasons. Our roster has plenty of playmakers (when healthy). What makes you right? What can you point to as proof? He's just a rookie.

Byrd and Samuel haven’t proven anything 

We dont have that many touches available. Byrd, Samuel, Mccaffrey, Funchess, Olsen, and Cam are all good with the ball in their hands. We won't pay for a difference maker with that group already on the roster.

Adams (assuming he sits out Sunday) will have missed 5 games in 4 years.

Curtis Samuel will miss 7 games this year.

At this juncture, speed is not as important as separation. Specifically, getting more YAC to make up for the lack of a deep attack. That and keep that run game going and converting 3rd downs. We've gone rink and dink at this point.
