Byrd to IR, and other Tuesday news

Byrd has had two very unlucky injuries. That doesn't make him injury prone. Glad he's developing into a legit receiver and super bummed that he got hurt. Getting Trai and CJ back would be big. Looking forward to seeing what happens this Sunday. Could go either way, so it should be an exciting game.

11-4 comes from the regular season where we weren't facing good teams every week. This is the PLAYOFFS. You are going up against the best teams in the conference every week. Game planning is different, everything is different.

Weren't facing good teams every week??....News flash...This is the NFL!!! Every team is pretty dang good. The difference between the worse team and the best teams today isn't as much as it used to be. (with the exception of the Browns and couple other teams). But by your own argument, every other team isn't facing good teams every week either. We beat some really good teams without Byrd. No doubt he's added a spark, but the whole team is playing better. O-line especially.......Look, this team I think has surpassed everyones expectations this year, agreed??....That being said, would it REALLY be all that surprising if the Panthers DID make a run in playoffs?? Especially given their experience. It's usually the teams that are red hot going into playoffs that make a push....Panthers are hot right now!! And YES, a lack of depth at WR COULD potentially hurt us....But you never know, they may very well surpass our expectations again....We're IN...thats all that matters.

I would assume at this rate they would basically have to sign SOMEONE. One more injury and you are basically down to nothing. And we know that Funchess has been playing hurt about half the season.

We have two more recoervers on the PS that know the system and might be our insurance.  Not like there’s any one else out there

What other fanbase would be content with pooping posts calling out a front office that continually allows their franchise QB to be forced to throw to one of the worst WR corps in the league? Particularly facing an uphill battle entering the postseason?

I swear I think some of you have become so accustomed to mediocrity that you actually like it.

Maybe fanbases of teams who have amazing WRs and are out of the playoffs. I want us to upgrade WR as much as any position every year. But to get fixated on it when the team is 11-4 is ridiculous. We're in much much better shape than teams like the Bucs, Broncos, Bengals, Lions, Dolphins, etc. who have some damn good WRs yet their teams are horsesh*t and out of the playoffs.

Did we not beat the Vikings, Packers with Rodgers, Patriots in Foxboro, and Falcons? And came damn close to beating the Eagles, who with Wentz were blowing teams out of the water--and that's despite Cam having a below average game for him and bounces not going our way with a couple picks off our receivers hands that went right to the Eagles, Luke's injury, etc. It's damn hard to get 11-12 wins in a season, no matter who you play.

Anyone know what the Byrd injury is? Obviously a tough loss for this year, but really hoping it's not TOO serious and he can come back next year for a big season

One of the news articles said he wouldn't need surgery, so that seems positive.  But I don't think he is under contract for next year, so he may or may not be back.
