Even further proof of why Cam is a MVP caliber player. Won't be considered bc of passing stats, but his value to the team is undeniable.

He is the team MVP without a doubt...without Cam we are jack poo.  Dude has put the whole team on his back on many occasions and willed us to winning games.  He will not be considered the MVP because of his passing stat's and him having another MVP type year would have to be on par if not much better than 2015.  Not sure if we will ever seen another year like that from Cam but I am certain we have plenty more good ones in store.  Such a shame we screwed ourselves in the SB after that magical regular season run.

I think it was about half and half of the Panthers making mistakes, and the other half was Von Miller making Remmers his bitch for the night

  • Cam Newton : 128 attempts/695 rushing yards/5.4 ypc / 6 TDs (Passing : 60.5% completions / 3122 yards/21 TD/13 INT)
  • Jstew : 198/680/3.4 ypc/ 6TD
  • Cmac : 111/421/3.8 ypc / 2TD

Receiving

  • Funchess : 61 receptions/792 yards/7TD
  • McCaffrey : 75 /611 /5TD
  • Benjamin : 32/475/2TD
  • Dickson: 28/415/1TD
  • Shepard: 17/202/1TD
  • Olsen: 16/181/1TD
  • Samuel : 15/115/0TD
  • D.Byrd: 10/105/2TD'

We arent going to have a 1000 yard rusher or receiver this season. Cam has a good shot to finish the season as the leading rusher for the team if Stew has another bad day in yards per carry once again in week 17. These are some depressing stats ladies and gentleman.

The entire point of using an 8th overall pick on offense was to avoid this......

This

I am all for letting Cam be Cam, but it doesn't say much about you as an NFL offense when your QB is your leading rusher with that many attempts ... I was really hoping we'd open up the short passing game with CMC.

I really hope some team hires away Shula. You know damn well he ain't getting fired

Fun facts:

On Ron Rivera teams (2011-17) based on "running the ball and playing good defense"...

1. No Ron Rivera team has had a 1000 yard rusher, and

2. Ron Rivera team's Total Defense Opponents Yards Per Game rankings have been 27, 10, 3, 6, 4, 21, and 7 for an average rank of 11, and

3. Ron Rivera team's Total Defense Opponents Points Per Game rankings have been 27, 18, 2, 20, 6, 26, and 11 for an average rank of 16.

I wonder if any other teams leading rusher threw for over 3,000 yards and 21 touchdowns!  I bet if they did they would win an MVP!  I mean  if we listed Cam as the running back and ran the “wildcat” every play would he be considered the greatest running back of all time?

You’re the most negative person on this board, do us all a favor and go away....

Maybe we need a subforum here for the Panthers fans that are satisfied with just having a franchise and maintaining the status quo rather than actually winning championships.

Wilson has 3700 yard 32 tds and leads the Seahawks in rushing with 550 yards

Hes not going to win MVP

But Wilson should win it and was considered the leading candidate up until a week or two ago.  My point isn’t Cam should win the MVP this year, it is that they never give QB’s that run as much consideration for that skill as they give running backs credit for receiving yards for example.  It is just an under rated part of his game.

And he actually has an elite supporting cast in his pass catchers and plays like poo too much so clearly he shouldn’t.

Believe it or not Wilson makes the job of his o-line near impossible sometimes with how he moves around. I’d argue the Seahawks o-line has been better than ours.

If the seahawks were  13-2 wilson would probably win it

But Wentz and Gurley have been balling all season

Brady is the same every season hes consistent
