Ron breaks down the team in controversial fashion...

I don’t watch or have any media regarding this, no Facebook or twitter, or even TV at all.

I won’t demonize JR until the facts come out but I also most certainly won’t celebrate him in any fashion until the facts come out either. Seems a lot of you are able to place yourself on one side of the spectrum while claiming we don’t know or have the facts yet...doesn’t make sense to me.

No problem with the players & Rivera supporting their guy JR; after all, it's all allegations and innocent until proven guilty, and all that jazz...

I just can't help but wonder how some of these very fans in this thread would react if the players threw their support onto someone else who was going through a situation where they haven't yet been determined if innocent or not, and there were allegations against this person. I honestly don't believe the reaction would be the same, and the ones complaining about everyone rushing to judgement and shouting "innocent until proven guilty," would be doing just that.

Hell, you have fans in this thread who didn't want to touch certain players in the draft due to "allegations."

Whats also sad is you have posters/people in here and in the fan base who sit back and remain quiet when others are being judged and not being given fair treatment or being caste as guilty just off allegations, but they're loud and vocal when it's happening to JR.

"Not a good look" is one of those sayings that needs to get flushed down the crapper as does that rationale.

Screw the opinions of those who can't take the time or energy to look past the surface and screw those who get embarrassed because of how things look on the surface.

We live in such a superficial society with such fake rages over whatever the popular thing is to be upset over. It's not that some things aren't worth being upset over, but it's hard to take seriously anyone who jumps on whatever the bandwagon rage is through social media.

We're turning into the most intolerant and judgemental society of all time just waiting to demonize someone or some group for the slightest glimpse of perceived evil and allow ourselves to say that the totality of someone's being can be summed up in the way they look in one moment in time.

It doesn't matter how "enlightened" or how educated a person is, if they spend too much time on social media, they get sucked into group think and become mindless parts of an angry hive just looking for the next person to swarm.

No argument. Just pointing it out.

Admittedly, I do believe he's guilty.

Those fans are hypocrites. You notice the main ones that were crying about what Cam said to Jourdan Rodrigue are silent about JR's situation.

To me the lesson is I think we should all hesitate when we leap to judging individuals on certain actions or incidents that become public knowledge.  There's are a lot better moms visiting their kids in prison today that I bet have unique perspectives on this.

Condemning someone based on their transgressions says more about us than it does about the instigator.

Just my .02

I agree that we all shouldn't rush to judge someone when incidents occur. I just want people to be fair and not be hypocritical in those situations.

I think most reactions to all these little bits if drama this year were overreactions. People carelessly say dumb things all the time. I don't think it reveals as much about their nature as people make it out to be. People got to rage about something, though.

Personally I think a lot of it has to do with familiarity. As a Panthers fan, you look at JR and you don’t want the Panthers to fall apart because of something he may or may not have done, so you say let’s wait to hear what happened and not jump to conclusions.

When it is a player on another team or a potential draft pick people tend to just say oh forget that guy no thanks and wipe their hands of it, because it is easier for us as a people to be more dismissive to people we don’t know.

I think it’s human nature and isn’t an indictment on anyone’s personality individually.

In their defense, Cam did make the statement on camera during a press event. I don't know if there is tape of what JR is accused of. Cam addressed the situation and made amends the best he could in the situation. Now it has passed and everyone has pretty much put it behind them.

JR's is still out there, being investigated and whether he is guilty or innocent or somewhere in between has yet to be established. In the meantime, he is selling his beloved team and will have to see someone else run the organization he raised from the ground up. I pity the man for the Lear-like turn this is taking in his later life.

Fans of the Team have outright called Cam a Womanizer because of the Rodrigue scandal.

This fanbase is stupid af.

Have any of you considered that maybe, just maybe, neither Ron nor Cam have witnessed anything that would validate any of the allegations that JR is accused of?   Hard to condemn someone you know if you haven't witnessed it yourself...well for those of us that don't have an agenda anyway.
