You guys do realize that Kemo will be back next season, correct? I am not saying that we need to totally forget about this season, but we need a hell of a lot more help at safety than we do at DT now that Hollis Thomas has shown he can at least plug some holes.

I think DT is more of a problem than S..plus Kemo will be back yes..but IDK if he is worth what the panthers are going to have to pay someone coming off a injury that could ruin a man his size.

That's what we thought with Leonard a few weeks ago. No telling if Hollis can hold up or not. We need at least one more guy in the rotation if not 2. At safety we are deeper given we have a couple of guys who can play corner or safety.

Would be a nice pickup if we could fit him under the cap and the asking price wasn't too high... on a good day Hollis is still 35 and Kemo is 30.

I know we got Thomas..but Montgomery is younger..and could be more than a stop gap

Montgomery was a restricted free agent,who the Redskins resigned this year, so it surprises me that he's getting no playing time. Maybe it's because he will be a free agent at the end of this season, and that's why they are looking to trade him, trying to get something for him rather than nothing.

He's young, and would provide very good depth at DT, if not as a starter. He's one of those players you would like to see on the Panthers, but I believe the Panthers are happy with their current group of average at best DT's, and will stand pat.

We should assume that Hollis Thomas may be injured at some point during the season. We need depth, so I hope we pick up this guy, or some other big DT.
