Is JR Hiding Behind His Coach and his QB?

I don't think cowardice comes into play necessarily. Cowardice is knowing you should do something and refusing to do it out of fear. I don't think Jerry Richardson believes he must do anything and I don't think he's afraid. I think it's hubris rather. He's not scared to say he's sorry or accept responsibility, because he doesn't think he needs to.

Also, I think it's almost full on Weekend at Bernie's with him. He looks semi-comatose most of the time. I'd be willing to bet while he's probably dropped an N-bomb more recently, it's been several years since he was physically able to conduct a proper Jeans Friday inspection.

I was disappointed with Cam's JR remarks, but he's absolutely in a damned if he does, damned if he doesn't type of situation here. And honestly it sucks, because the target has been on his back here as an African American quarterback from the word go, and here he is again taking fire. If we're being blunt, Rivera should be doing more to take some of this off his shoulders, especially since he's made a nice career for himself watching Newton carry the burden on the football field.

I don’t know why you would be disappointed?

what he said was he was waiting for the reports and taking an innocent until proven guilty approach.

most here are the opposite from some kind of old white southern guy hate and bias— burn someone before the facts are out— it’s all speculation at this point.

what if it comes out that Jerry did nothing more than make comments like Darlin and you are a beautiful young lady, and that type of thing? We will see.

the fact that a women was second in line and now has taken over seems to point that he hasn’t treated anyone like a lesser.

old style comments and holding doors and treating women like flowers are now seen as sexist when that was not the intent.

the world has changed and not everyone has caught up.

if it comes out that Jerry grabbed a woman, pinched butts, said ooh you look mighty fine in them jeans, come on over to my house for a private lap dance—- sure fry him -and I’m sure people like Cam would too.

not yet, don’t convict people before the facts come out. Just saying.

Know how I can tell you haven't read the whole SI article?

The dude was known for going around on casual Fridays asking women to turn around so he could see their butts, and then making comments like "you had to lay down on the bed to fit in those jeans" or "show me how you had to wiggle to get those jeans on"...

He also allegedly asked women if he could shave their legs, summoned them to his office over trivial reasons only to ask them to give him foot massages and back rubs.

Then there's the whole seat belt breast touching maneuver it sounds like he used at least a few times.

Facts or not, why pay off people that make these allegations? If it was just to get them to go away, it'd only lead to more and more coming forward with the same accusations.

If it comes out for a fact that he did those things I would buy the gasoline for the pyre.

Right now it’s hearsay and speculation.

Where there’s smoke there’s usually fire, so I’m not saying I don’t care.

i would like to see what the official investigative report is rather than writer hacks that often like to fan public flames for their own clickbait.

i also happen to know what it’s like to get accused of something, have everyone turn their backs and do the trashing to come out later totally innocent,... so I wait to see what the truth is.

For his comments supporting Richardson? That's silly. What was said?

Shannon isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer.

Shannon equated Cam to a modern day slave vying for his white supremicist master.

Yeah it was outright stupid crap.

He’s rather sell his team than have to explain himself to a bunch of people sure to twist his words one way or another.

I think he was planning to sell after this year anyway.  The fact that he didn't replace Danny, allowed Brandon to leave and hired Marty as an interim GM sounds much like the gutting he engineered before the lockout.  Whatever else he did, he has always taken care of his office employees (many teams laid off workers during the lean years, but he made it a point to keep them all and he has sent every employee to the Superb owl twice now) so allowing employees to go through attrition before the sale is a way to throw as few as possible to the wolves in a sale.

So, does selling the team absolve him of any wrongdoing and does it then make him immune to any disciplinary action by the league? You know, the "Personal Conduct Policy" that also includes the owners?

First off thank you.

second off, these three idiots on this panel drive me insane. Wtf are they even talking? Sharpe is more guilty than JR and more all over the map than he states cam is, and the chick in the middle trying to knock Olsen and Cam acts like the fan base will ditch because the stuck up for someone.

fox is such a waste.

Not sure it absolves him from anything.  He still could be sued for punitive damages by the league if they found some wrong doing I suppose.
