Agreed.  For one thing it would be kind of ridiculous considering why JR is selling for someone like Diddy, or also Debartalo, to get the team, but that is not the main reason I would be against it.

Apparently he is worth around eight hundred million.  That is not nearly enough to be the majority owner of a team that will cost around two and a half billion.  The Marlins are a real time example of what happens when a franchise is sold to someone for more than they can afford.  If only there were no salary cap I would want some Qatari oil man to buy the team the way they have been taking over European football.

Saw on Inside the NFL this week that the NFL's business analyst stated that Sean Combs does not have enough money to buy the Panthers. He doesn't have the liquidity and other assets necessary to qualify for majority owner.
