Whats Brady Quinn worth?

I really wish the Panthers would trade for Quinn. Of course it won't happen, though. Panthers don't have the picks or players to sacrifice.

However.... what methinks is get rid of Peppers. Toss him to the Browns and get Quinn plus a 1st rounder and maybe a 3rd/4th round. The Browns still have their 1st/2nd round picks for 2010, correct? I think the Panthers desperately need to scoop up a 1st round for next year.

I'm not a big believer in Peppers (both for his skills and attitude).

Nobody is going to deal any picks for peppers right now. They will have to eat his 1 year salary and could possibly have the problem of Peppers not wanting to play for cleveland. Then what are they going to do? franchise him again next year for 24 mil? thats crazy!!

It's hard to say what kind of QB Brady Quinn will be. Playing in Cleveland makes it tough to assess whether or not he is any good. For some reason, I think of him as being immature (just a personal assumption) so calling on him to be the leader or captain of an NFL club might be a stretch. I think if he went to a place where there is already some veteran leadership with a solid O-line and running game, he might do alright and actually be pretty good.

Hmmmm.....maybe that is driving Cleveland's decision to sit him for Anderson.

Hear me out. If there is not much of a difference in Anderson and Quinn.....and you are going to suck anyway.....why play Quinn and have to pay an additional $11M.

Things that make you say hmmmmmm.......

This could be the very reason his house is for sale. It isn't about him getting traded - he just realized he isn't getting paid that extra $11 mil. That would suck royal balls.

Yea, Mangini is saying Quinn is not up for trade.

I'm pretty sure Josh McDaniels said the same thing about Jay Cutler this offseason when reports were coming out about it, and when his house went on the market....and we know how that turned out. Point is, you can't ever take coach/GM speak for face value.

A lot of people have suggested that he has not been given a fair shot and thus it's impossible to determine his worth.

Luckily for us, we have his old QB coach, who knows exactly what kind of QB he is, and also where he might be in the future. So we are one of the only teams that can make an educated decision on going for him or not.

If we do NOT go for him, then it will be safe to say he is not worth losing any sleep for him.

If we do try and trade, then chances are Cleveland are purely trying to get off an $11 million hook. Thus we may not even be successful. Mind you Mangini is one of the most irrational HCs in the NFL, so anything is possible. His pride and arrogance could lead them to cutting ties with every player they have so he can build from the ground, creating a team like the which Billichek has. Unfortunately Mangini is borderline incompetant. I would HATE to be a Browns fan.

What I am trying to say is, Quinn's talent or lack thereof, will mirror our interest. So if we do not go for him, do not ponder what if.
