Panthers are 5th in scoring since trading Kelvin Benjamin

Saw this tweet earlier and it's obviously something we've all talked about

However, that got me wanting to run some numbers of my own.  Seeing as we were the #1 scoring team in 2015, I got to thinking there's a pretty good chance we're the #1 scoring team period without Kelvin Benjamin since we drafted him.

Sure enough... we are.  683 total points without KB since we drafted, which is tops in the NFL over that time -- and keep in mind the trade was before the start of week 9 -- our bye week was in week 11 -- we obviously didn't score any points then.  Patriots are second with 644 points over that time period, who also had a post week 9 bye week.  Saints are 3rd with 618, but they had no bye week to screw with their totals, so PPG wise Pittsburgh would claim that 3rd spot average-wise.

I know we've all joked about it, but man, lol these stats are really starting to pile up.

We're also 22-3 now as well over that same time span.  Poor KB.

Well like it or not,... he’s gone.

right now our offense is doing decent,.. still would like to have a legit receiver like an AJ Green or Antonio Brown or even a Keenan Allen,.. I still don’t feel like Funchess will ever be one of them.

Funchess has exceeded all of my low expectations but he’s got a long way to go still.

    • He can say what he feels, but he's not saying "the previous year, the team wasn't very good" he directly called his teammates out and in a way that is flat-out not true. "You are your record"? Oh ok, he's only had 3 winning seasons, but in my mind he isn't a loser, and I bet he isn't in his either - cause football is a team sport and wins and losses are on the team, even when one really bad player (Jimminy Pickles) can basically screw over everything.  And this comes on the heels of his thing about the MVP, which is fine, but also selfish. His teammates consistently went to bat for him... Just feels like he's more about himself.
    • Good point--I think this draft is great for us at this time--At the top of the draft, the DT (DEs/NTs in 3-4) are loaded.  The Edges are deep.  We need to double dip there--hoping to move back so we can add three players to that pool.  In free agency, if I were Morgan, I would focus on DBs and  ILB--fix the back end of the defense.  If he signed a S, CB, ILB, and TE, it would be cost effective.  In the draft, DE, Edge, and WR should be the priorities.  After that, OL Depth, QB depth, DB depth, RB depth.  My Free agent Targets:  TE: Juwan Johnson, Saints.  29, had over 500 yards with Saints. S: Julian Blackmon, Colts.  He will be one of the top free agents--gonna cost us, but not like an edge or WR. ILB: Tyrel Dodson, Dolphins.  80 tackles on just 854 snaps--under 27 years of age. CB: Mike Jackson, Carolina.  He is 28 and had 3 picks and was on the field at all times.  68 PFF score. NT:  best available for Evero's system.
