i've been vegetarian for a year now, albeit with occasional failings (i never eat chicken but god i love a good new york strip) and two months ago kicked off the most serious weightlifting routine of my life.

i cut out sodas completely, started drinking 1.25 gallons of water a day, lifting heavy 6 days a week, eating vegan protein shakes, 99% vegetarian meals (still fall for meat occasionally)

i'm up 21 pounds, lifting 20% more than when i started, lost two inches off my waist

also now i'm not going to die because my arteries get clogged with poo and i'm not putting money into an unsustainable industry. too many advantages not to make the change

Well yeah, if you’re still eating enough calories and protein why would it be crazy you’re seeing results? Same thing has happened to me these past months, but I eat a **** ton of meat. The muscle gain in fat loss has more to do with you’re workout routine than weather you’re eating chicken for protein or beans

Whatever it takes god dammit!

But I’m the same way I’ll do 1-2 500g cartons of egg whites a day. 1-2 200g chicken with 60 carbs of brown rice meals a day.

Throw some oatmeal in with egg whites if i’m feeling flat or i’ll have some fibre one because I need more fibre and it’s easy that way.

I make up for what I do on weekends since I’m not trying to build muscle but just maintain. So it’s a bit different for me when it comes to being able to incorporate  crap on weekends. I keep my fats lower during the week because of my weekends.

I also do a ridiculous amount of cardio everyday even though no one ever likes to admit that.

Did you just bring exercise up as if that has something to do with health?

I look at it as such.

I don’t want religions pushing themselves on me.

I don’t want vegetarians telling me why they are so much better just for the sake of saying why they are better.

Im completely open socially to almost any ideal. And love having a rational discussions about food, but both sides have to be objective.

This is 2017 bro. If you aren’t supercilious and condencending to someone in an argument you’re doing it wrong. Also anyone who doesn’t drive a Prius and smell their own farts shouldn’t even attempt to argue.

I don’t got time at the moment to pull all my references. But I will get back to you on that. “Miso Hungry” is a documentary that would be a great starting point to explain it to you.

In fact, anyone that is interested in losing  @Asurfaholic should watch this movie because it explains way better how to translation from a shitty diet then any westernized diet could ever.

Miso hungry

Fun Fact:

Poultry is the cause of most UTI's.

The bacteria found in most chicken is responsible for crawling out of the butt, into the pee hole, and setting up shop.

this liveSCIENCE article states there’s no cause and effect relationship between poultry and UTIs. Also can you explain that last paragraph- stuff crawling out of your butt into your pee hole?

Meh, I'm allergic to chicken and have never had a UTI. By huddle logic chicken causes them.
