And that's why I'm not going to bother. You've already made a deeply emotional decision and no amout of science and research will change that.

What you don't seem to be understanding is that no one is disputing that it's possible to create a balanced vegetarian diet. It's just that there's a big difference between a properly balanced vegetarian diets and "just eat beans and rice".

You just spent more effort typing that out than just showing me the study you know of. Tells me you are making this up as you go along.

Yeah, infections are a bitch. Thank goodness for science.

Yep. Thank goodness for it! Now instead of dying at 40, we die at 80. Because of that, we face new challenges other generations didn't have to deal with as much, like dementia, as our bodies break down of old age.

In fact, Alzeimers is a new disease speaking in terms of history.

Of course it's a new disease. Used to be most of the population would die before they'd get to the age Alzheimer's is a thing. Now our life expectancy is nearing 80.

About 10-15% of your calories intake needs to be protein.

As it so happens, 10-15% of plants are protein. Makes it easy.

Seriously. LOL.

So every guy, girl, child...every body type and every activity levels needs 10-15% of their calories to be protein?

You're getting some very bad information.

Kendrick Farris is Team USA’s only male weightlifter at the Rio Olympics. With a combined personal best of 377kg in the snatch and the clean and jerk, the 29-year-old Louisiana native also holds the 94kg American record.

So when we reported that Farris follows a vegan diet, it was met with some surprise.

After all, a vegan diet is unusual enough among elite athletes—and that’s especially the case for weightlifters, who need lots of protein to stack on lean muscle and heft such huge weights. No way, said the comments on our initial story about Farris' diet. How can he do that?

So we asked him.

We shouldn’t get so caught up with "protein, protein, protein." Because you can get an excess of protein, and most of it just gets passed through the body.

I don’t got time at the moment to pull all my references. But I will get back to you on that. “Miso Hungry” is a documentary that would be a great starting point to explain it to you.

In fact, anyone that is interested in losing  @Asurfaholic should watch this movie because it explains way better how to translation from a shitty diet then any westernized diet could ever.

Thanks, I’ll check it out
