Have you read the China study? The largest population study in terms of diet ever done. Really good info.

Of course, the meat and dairy industries paid a ton of money to discredit it, but the science is there despite their own silly studies.

Got a link I’d love to read it.

i haven't eaten any refined sugar or simple carbohydrates in a few months and it's changed my whole life. i feel really good on a day to day basis. everything tastes better. i can just sit here and eat a bowl of broccoli and it tastes like candy.

That’s what’s up. I don’t know why American culture has to shun and disguise veggies as tasteful and yucky. They are divinely delicious.

they're delicious when your body is tuned to find them delicious. if your diet consists of fast food and Airheads then vegetables are going to be repulsive because your body is swimming with sugar at all times. cut that stuff out and the flavor of everything turns into its real flavor.

One of the interesting commonalities between dietary zealots of different varieties is that if the conversation goes long enough inevitably some type of big *insert industry here* conspiracy theory will emerge.

The fervency honestly borders on religion.

It's just frustrating that there is such clear cut science out there and yet people are still confused. Even those that claim to be well read. Thinking it's difficult to get complete protein from plants for example.

Exactly. Especially refined sugar. I cut out all sugar years ago except that which is put into sauces in small amounts and what not. It kind of surprises me too salt hasn’t come up in this conversation yet.

It is difficult. But not impossible. There is a difference.
