My best case scenario:  Hoping for a group that has deep pockets and extensive experience running successful sports franchises.

Diddy could be part of that group, but based on his comments so far, I wouldn't want him to have controlling interest.

Our value has been going up as a team, someone wanted a piece of that cheese, and this stubborn old man was in the way. He probably told them to fugg off when they asked him to sell 

I don’t know JR personally. I know nothing about his character, but I can assure you that someone somewhere decided JR needed to go. It’s all about money. You can’t Wack people mafia style anymore, so the next thing is you go after their reputation.
