bucs fans talking trash. i guarantee most of these people are the same types walking around openly talking about how bad their team sucks. and there are a lot of you, especially down here in tampa. josh johnson is trash. the last two games he's played, color me not impressed. he's equivalent to tavaris jackson in terms of talent and potential.

I'm not one to play the race card, but I always find it curious how black quarterbacks are always compared to other black quarterbacks.

I like all the Ale Houses because of the cheap beer and cheap food. The one in Jacksonville used to turn into a late night scene...white trash meet high society. It was quite funny.

I used to live right next to the Ale House at Tinseltown (Southside) for about nine months in 2008. I went there to watch the panthers every Sunday and just about every Tuesday (ladies night  ).

The only thing that worries me is that JJ can run, which is something the Panthers always seem to have problems with. I'm pretty confident that the Panthers offense will be able to move the ball and score on that Tampa defense.

yes he can run and is very fast but he really is a pocket passer who can scramble when the play breaks down. unlike other scrambling QB's JJ will not leave the pocket unless it breaks.

If anyone was unimpressed then they should watch a little closer. I'm not saying anything other than he has tons of potential. The question remains if he has a real opportunity to be our team's QB. with freeman in the wings its unclear.

Riddle me this.....If Josh Johnson was really worth a crap, why did the Bucs use a 1st Round Pick on Freeman.

When you are 0-4, you will try and look for any glimmer of hope.

Too bad the Panthers will slam that door shut Sunday.

Drafting Freeman did not speak to JJ's talent. It spoke to Morris' ignorance of JJ's talents. This is a guy who jon gruden drafted. Jon hates young QB's and saw something in this kid. You will have a front row view of him on Sunday. You'll come away impressed by this kid in his 3RD!!!!! start of his career.

If you call last week's JJ and Bucs performance as impressive, then you might be right.

Seriously, I expect an ugly and physical game on Sunday. These teams do not like each other...and the games are always physical wars.

This is a game of a crappy team vs a crappier team....too bad the Bucs are definitely the crappier team.

Just checked the stat line....

You consider his performance good?

He completed 50% of his passes......53 passer rating....fumbled twice (neither was lost)....and threw 3 interceptions.

That is worse than Jake...and we want to burn him at the stake.

I guess when you suck as bad as the Bucs, you consider JJ the shining moment.

Bottom line both teams ain't good this season. The game could go either way. Just depends on which team comes to play on sunday. Are we going to get a bad panther team are the good one. Is the Bucs going to have the bad bus team are the good one. Both teams have a half ass offense right now with both QBs playing avg. JJ has commited turnovers this season. Jake has thrown like 11 ints dating back to the cards game. But he has improved in the last few games. Both teams running game is struggleing right now. But both teams has a good core of running backs in the backfield. Both Teams D has not playedall that well and both teams have had issues with tackling point blank. Panthers D improve this past week on tackling but agaist a bad skins team. Special teams for both parties are playing ok I guess. Bottom line either team could win. It is all of a matter which team makes more plays and scores more. So lets wait and see.

If any of you kitty fans saw the bucs game on sunday you should be a little nervous. While JJ, a name he has been given by the bucs faithful, did not put up great numbers including 3 picks he made very quick reads and got rid of the ball quickly on a consistent basis.

The Eagles are a very pressure heavy team and the last time i checked the Panthers weren't. I'm not saying that JJ will single handed beat you. What i am saying is that if JJ has time to stand in the pocket for more than 2 seconds he will make a lot of throws.

This kid made huge improvements from game 1 to game 2 and certainly he learned a lesson from the Eagles last week and hopefully he will display what he has learned against the Kitties this weekend.

Prediction: Bucs get 1st win of the year at home; 24-21

Not trying to spam your board. I assume most people will disagree, please explain. BTW your board is very similar to the buc's message board.

Yes, I am terrified of the 0-5 Bucs... not sure if you noticed, but we sacked Campbell 5 times.

Josh Johnson was my sleeper QB in last years draft. He has had a couple of costly Ints (the two I saw were not his fault though) but he has also shown some very good touch on his passes (in college he had one of the prettest tightest spirals in last years draft). And if your comparing him to Jake you obviously haven't been watching the same game clips I have seen (to be fair I haven't been watching every play of the Bucs I don't know how Buc fans are).

He brings one thing that sets him above Jake IMO, his mobility. He can make plays on his feet (though Jake did have a nice one against the Skins) both avoiding the sack and creating something out of nothing. And to be fair to Josh you are comparing a 5th round QB in his second year (and his first year he was buried in the depth chart and saw almost no practice reps) to a guy who has been starting almost a decade. I think for a 5th he was a steal I wish we had him right now.

But to the Buc fans I don't really see you pulling this one out. I say it will stay close but we win it at the end. But its more of two lousy teams which one screws up more.
