This is nuts. An 0-5 Bucs' fan talking smack about this relatively unknown QB. Okay, The Panthers only have one win, BUT, at least we are not in rebuilding mode and have veterans--HEALTHY VETERANS-- to get us steered back in the right direction.

The only way you can talk smack is if Josh Johnson actually beats us and you come back in our second matchup with the heat. Right now, you really don't have a leg to stand on. Really.

Well just because know one knows JJ doesn't mean he isn't good. I haven't really been talking smack. If you read my OP you'll see only a mildly biased opinion. Certainly no "you stink, we rule" type of stuff.

Vets don't mean much, its what they bring to the team. Our vets were old and being taken advantage of.

Which hole did you buy exactly?

fixed, thank you.

The Bucs are a train wreck this year. So far they're suffering from:

  • Putrid quarterback play. Johnson threw 3 INTs and fumbled twice last week.
  • A young and supposedly talented offensive line that can't open holes in the running game.
  • a stable of great running backs who somehow can't run
  • A defensive line that can't generate pressure
  • A linebackers unit that can't seem to "get" the new scheme well enough to be effective
  • A secondary that doesn't know how to cover a tight end or receivers in the middle
  • severe tackling issues from the safety positions

How can a team like that expect to win?

I will be very upset, he has a ton of ability if he can get a few games to showcase his talents. some think that is the exact reason why he is playing now; so we can increase his trade value.

thats prob what will happen...he will get traded to a team that needs a QB..and you will go with J.Freeman.

  • A young and supposedly talented offensive line that can't open holes in the running game. Faine will be back this week and this will change, our backup is terrible
  • a stable of great running backs who somehow can't run see above
  • A defensive line that can't generate pressure right on here, maybe we'll sign peppers?
  • A linebackers unit that can't seem to "get" the new scheme well enough to be effective our LB corps are young and improving every week
  • A secondary that doesn't know how to cover a tight end or receivers in the middle i'll get back to you on this.
  • severe tackling issues from the safety positions T-Jack is back and this will improve, still a weakness though.

How can a team like that expect to win?

i don't think any expects to win although i feel we have a great shot at it. young team and young coaches have a learning curve.

Why does this sound familiar? The only difference is our QB is a vet who is average on a good day. Otherwise, it's like looking in a mirror.

JK - I guess we were on the same page (well, almost).
