Cam Newton's stats in the 6 games since the Kelvin Benjamin trade

Only areas he's worse are passing yards per game and completion percentage, but he's been much more efficient passing in terms of TD-INT ratio and is averaging 65 rushing yards a game.

Safe to say the KB trade has, at this point, if anything been a positive for Cam?

Proves Cam can create when not forced to feed to certain players. Throwing 4 TDs and not one to your #1 WR (Funch) is great for him going forward

It's been great for funchess development.  Kid is putting it together and looking like an absolute stud.  If byrd and olsen keep up what we saw yesterday, strap in lads, this could be a wild ride.

Would have loved to see them  trying KB out as a Wr/TE similar to Jimmy Graham and create mismatches and still having Funchess playing in the spot he is now

Not even just Cam the whole offense seems more...consistent. Helps that Olsen is back too. Honestly this is the best I've seen from Shula since he's become OC

Its forced Cam to spread the ball around and not lock onto KB. It not a coincidence that the year KB went down we went to the Superbowl and this year Cam has been lights out without him.

I think it's early to say definitively yet but I was initially very against the trade. Seems like a plate of crow is in my future.

Same here...KB has crossed my mind like 1 time during games.  Hurney won that trade at this point assuming he drafts a good player with that 3rd.

Also, it's worth noting that KB hasn't done poo in Buffalo other than posing as an occasional goal-line threat.

I really do kind of buy into the "Cam force-feeding KB" theory. I think KB's high number of targets inflated his stats and made him out to be a better receiver than he actually is.

Olsen is back. Ain't no ifs about it. And don't forget CMC. He's NFC's 3rd leading RB for receiving yds. with 592.
