Culturally, what will change?

It really depends on who takes over. Ideally even if Hurney stays as GM I would like to see a hands off approach. Finding a permanent GM will also be very important and unfortunately JR fired a good one. Hopefully they will bring in outside help for that next year and allow Hurney to play FA moderate to aggressive to keep talent around this team.  I think after that hiring a good President will be important because JRs grab ass has caused some poor PR around the team.

My primary expectation would be more power in the front office.

One of the big reasons Richardson was a hands-on owner was because he was a football guy. The next owner is less likely to be. Thus, they would be expected to hire someone who knows what they're doing and let them run the team instead.

That'd be a big positive.

It really pisses me off JR fired Dave and now it seems the Giants will grab him up. Talk about getting screwed over.

There'll be other viable candidates.

Yes, it sucks that Hurney likely runs the coming offseason, but Richardson being out of the picture makes it much less likely that we have to put up with him long term.

I'm not terribly upset that Hurney will run it. My biggest concern was JR in the background really pulling the strings. I just hate we lost such a good talent evaluator that actually worked well with Rivera. Anytime a new GM comes in to a team with a HC in place it doesn't always work and Dave was smart enough to make it. I don't hate Rivera and I don't want a total rebuild in coaching with Cam and Luke in there prime but it's going to take a really strong GM to make it work successfully.

New GM, new coach and even new quarterback are all very real possibilities once the team is sold.

How likely are such changes? Impossible to know, but there's precedent.
