Just watched the highlights of the game on NFL Network. Literally not one Panthers offensive play shown. Nothing but Rodgers, Rodgers, Rodgers. You wouldve thought the Packers dominated.

I didn't watch that particular show, but Byrd's "Cheeky" catch has been talked about incessantly.  Of course, that is not necessarily because of the desire to show Panther offensive highlights.  :)

Speaking of Byrd, he has been quietly playing fairly well the last couple of games.  Lets hope its a harbinger of good things to come.

That is huge. This defense has started to come alive in the 2nd half of the season

More likely the CBS have. Both Bradberry and Worley are making QB's pay for throwing it there way. Rodgers was rusty but a rusty Rodgers is probably better than 80% of the QB's in the league. Dude has more accuracy than Brees.

I was impressed by Byrd. If he can keep that production up its very good news for the Panthers. Not to mention the dude can turn on the Jets.

It was on one of the NFLN morning shows. I just had it on in the background hoping to catch some highlights since I had to miss the game yesterday.

I would like to see them hit him on some deeper throws, but at least he is starting to provide a credible threat on the other side.

Yeah and honestly it was never a guarantee. I know for certain one thing though. This team needs to move on from Clay, manhurtz, and Sheppard next year. They all contribute in a negative way on this team.

Clay is a decent return man (which we really haven't had in years).  I wouldn't  mind getting rid of him if we get someone else who is legit.

I heard that Shepard is a special teams ace. He's made a few plays,  but I haven't  seen the ace status.  I'm OK with deep-sixing him.  We should have never signed him as far as I'm concerned.

Manhertz is still young.  Might be a tad early to cut him,  but not a big loss if we do.  I have to assume that they kept our human penalty machine around for a reason.

None of them can catch. That's a problem for a receiver no matter how young or old they are. Bersin isn't a ideal WR but he can catch. That's the difference.

Here is a major stat to add. After their ninth game the Panthers were -12 in the giveaway/takeaway margin. In their remaining games since they are +12 getting back to break even for the season

Yeah, I touched on that during that first nine games. Traditionally, we have been our best when our defense is forcing turnovers and we were on pace for the least turnovers forced in franchise history. Good to see we are reversing that trend over the second half of the season.

Isn't Brees on track to break the single season completion % record while having the highest career completion % ever?

I was thinking the same thing. 21st and Prime was the same way last night. Cam throws 4 TDs and gets no run...A-Rod is rusty, throws 3 picks, and loses and they're still jockin' him. I hope the team uses this as fuel.
