Serious Question

Actually it was.

The NFL Personal Conduct Policy requires that all non-disclosure agreements be reported to the league. The Panthers failed to do that at least four times.

A full NFL investigation would have meant looking into those agreements, and the team's failure to comply with the policy of reporting them.

Yeah, I don't buy that for a second.  At no point were the Panthers going to lose draft picks over the actions of their owner, who would either be vindicated or pushed out of his position by these allegations.  He clearly is seeing the latter option

It's his F'ing team you liberal baby. You can't just remove him because you have sand in your vagina. The guy is falling on the sword big time here for basically the same dumb poo that still got a president elected. He could make this a nasty situation but he is vacating without a single bullet fired.

I know liberals / socialists like to mooch off others and not put in the work to earn anything on their own but this is his team that he built with the help of others. He's exiting on his terms, not yours. If you're that damn appaled pull for the jets or giants until a new owner is in place and we'll find you in your safety zone to let you know that it's ok to come back and root for the team

You’re really gonna defend this man til the bitter end aren’t you? And all because he acknowledged you at a car dealership once lol.

If it were discovered that others in the front office knew about the agreements, it was definitely possible. But now, no investigation, so no problem.

Richardson was likely primarily concerned with more immediate consequences when he decided to step down. Being that it was the right decision overall, I'm happy with it.

look another moron. never once voted for a democrat in my life. have voted for a republican in every election since the day I could vote, except this year when I didn't vote at all.

Jerry Richardson is predator who prayed on women in the workplace. He sexually harassed them and made them feel like garbage. The man hasn't fallen on poo. He is an awful human being who should be forced to sell just like in the case of Donald Sterling.

Here let me help you

What is wrong with any of this? What is wrong with being understanding, non judgemental, or listening. If there was more of that (and not just when it’s the owner of your favorite team), then this world would be a better place.

I swear human beings are just terrible..

Yet......you voted for exactly that. You can't make this level of absurdity up if you try.

I think he approached this the right way.  Selling the team is the right thing to do.  I still hope he continues to insist that the new owners must keep the team in the Carolinas.
