Be careful, though.  How many of us can withstand close scrutiny in our own lives?   Told a lie?  Cheated someone?  Spoke against someone else in anger?  Pride?  Gossip?  Committed murder in your heart (hatred)?

All of us are compromised. If not in great matters, certainly in small matters.  Be thankful your life is not under a microscope for all the world to see and judge.

He's a guy who I'd imagine is used to getting whatever he wants. He might believe he can skate on this too.

It's also possible he's not entirely in control of his mental faculties at this point. To be clear, that doesn't excuse anything but it might explain some.

I’ve told you all for a long time JR had lost it. I’m sure there is a soap opera type story to all of this and Morrison and Gettleman were causualties of it.

SI has been made aware of at least four former Panthers employees who have received significant settlements from Richardson or from the team in exchange for what amounted to a vow of silence. One of the deals was confirmed by a recipient’s significant other, who had contemporaneous knowledge of Richardson’s conduct. On the condition that no potentially identifying details (such as dates or dollar figures) be revealed in this story, SI viewed the physical legal document—which included what appears to be Richardson’s signature—for one such settlement. No public documents or EEOC complaints have been found linking Richardson to workplace abuses, but a former Panthers employee tells SI that, while working for the team, she personally saw documents detailing sexual harassment claims against Richardson that were being investigated by the Panthers.

What I wonder is how this effects the team moving forward. How ugly does this get and what if we make it or win the Super Bowl?

The league isn’t going to want that look for the NFL. 

Not only that but I’m sure many of the players will no doubt play for each other but I wonder if they want to play for a guy like JR.

On the other hand though. If these allegations have been settled and papers signed just how much punishment should he receive? 

Transfer of power/ relief of ownership?
