You can't claim everyone enabled while ignoring that the victims of his actions didn't come forward either.

People with that kind of power effect everyone, not just the people who they're directly sexually assaulting, or calling ******.

When you say "well others enabled him" you're either absolving him of some of the guilt or just posting some dumb nonsequitor.

Absolving isn't the right way to look at this. Everything described is subtle and open to interpretation....

Read about an office meeting with Matt Lauer then read about an office meeting with JR. Its not in the same ballpark. JR is wrong but it's just different.

Creepy comments about tight jeans is a little different than Lauer yelling out that you're terrible in bed in front of all your coworkers....

There was an established culture where making these comments was accepted and tolerated and I'm sure some people gave him positive reinforcement. These modern day catch phrases like "victim blaming" distract from any productive discussion. The use of the word victim is a bit much.

It's a valid comparison, especially given the serial nature of the behavior.

The most chilling part of it to me was reading that he would "groom" people. He'd start off with basic, harmless gestures and would gradually amp it up to full-blown creepy over time. That's exactly the way that pedophiles and sexual predators operate, and a pretty clear sign of somebody who knows what he's doing; not a misunderstanding or simply being raised in a different era.

What isn't clear to me is how far things would go. When you talk about grooming you are talking about intent... what was his endgame? If things culminated in something truly immoral that makes this much worse... foot rubs and massages is certainly inapropriate but not really a sex offense.

Workplace misconduct and infidelity are quite common in the NFL... No one would bat an eye if a player cheated on his wife with a cheerleader. This just feels different because its coming from ownership and a position of power. Still, nothing was reported about non-consenting activity.

Sorry but you're making it sound like as long as he didn't rape somebody, no harm no foul.

Sexual harassment is at heart an abuse of power. What Richardson did put his female employees in an extremely uncomfortable position and left them feeling violated.

Four separate non-disclosure agreements doesn't exactly say "consenting" to me.

Not only this, but we have no idea how many employees didn't tolerate it and left as soon as they were able.

You guys remember this guy up there crying over the Hardy situation?   LOL, what a joke.

Seriously, fug Richardson for this ESPECIALLY in light of recent events.

Dude took part in essentially dismantling Greg Hardy's image all the while casting stones from his piece of poo glass mansion.

So do we need to tag some people in here that argued JR's no tattoos or cornrows demands on Cam Newton weren't at the very least vaguely rooted in racism?

idk anymore...But, I do know the loss of morality in the world is now being used as a bad thing. fyckin hippies now running the world.
