BS. First of all you don't count stats by cherry picking the ones you like and ignore others.  Secondly we had that game in hand all day and two screwups one in defense and one on offense let them try and steal the game. They were lucky to be in the game at the end. The score was closer than the game was.

You might want to look at the replay if you believe 'we had the game in hand' . I did as at the stadium I miss things

minnesota dropped two sure TD passes and shanked a field goal. Case also looked like Fran freaking Tarkenton out there

we got away with a few and caught a few breaks  they had two linemen hurt late and  Panthers managed to win in spite of going into the Rivera cocoon with 11 mins left in the third

it's a win against a tough team  I'm grateful for that

we have seen this show before when the outcome was different

I don't need to watch a replay I was at the game And saw everything. Weren't you one of the wusses warning everyone that we were going to lose and how great they were. Grow a pair. We kicked their ass and only some weak zone when they went hurry up gave them the yards they got. Once they got in the redzone we clamped down on them. Just like we are going beat the Packers. Now go ahead and tell me how great Rodgers is and how great they are going to be.

Other teams know that Shula will absolutely run it (usually middle-run with Stewart) on 1st down about 90% of the time.

They also absolutely know in the rare case that Shula throws on 1st down and the down is 2nd and 10 that Shula will run the ball there too almost 99.99% of the time.

No, I wasn't one of the 'wussies'

Actually I predicted a win in Igo's thread    What I did say positively  was in response to someone who was making the statement that the Vikings would be a pushover, they aren't

I was at the game as well and without binoculars  and or replay there is no way anyone can see all of those plays  Including  you and the coaches, that's why there is film review and as you have said, you know football so you know this to be factual

As far as Green Bay, the Panthers  lead in every statistical category, the offensive stats lower than they should be because of Rodgers absence

Panthers win 30 to 27 and like  almost all NFL games, this comes down to what your favorite coach says are 'missed opportunities'

Never let facts get in the way of a good story panthers55

I don't let facts get in the way but stats like facts need content. Glad you clarified you weren't one of the wusses, I don't usually see you that way but to say we we're lucky to win that game was surprising so I lumped you in with others unfairly. For that I apologize. As for Rivera he is my favorite coach only because he coaches my favorite team. If he didn't I wouldn't care, much like John Fox or Dom Capers. He is certainly not who I wish were coaching us but I am a fan not general manager.
