So about the end of game kneel downs

Pretty sure everyone has seen what happened in the Hawks/Jags game, heard the guys talking about it on Golic and Wingo this morning. Basically Golic said that Seattle was only down one score and had scored on their previous two possessions, so he had no problem with the Hawks trying to cause a bad snap/fumble. He  said he had a problem with the offense basically saying the game is over so give up and let us run out the clock.

What say you guys?

I don't really have an issue with trying to force a bad snap on a kneel down if a team is only down a score but there should be rules set up around it. Team has to be down by 8 or less with less than 2 minutes remaining. No dirty hits allowed or unsportsmanlike penalty with an ejection/fine/suspension should be attached. I don't think a team should have to just give up because it's easy for the offense to take a knee. If you're concerned about injuries, shotgun and have the QB kneel.

Golic said that? He's an idiot if so. Every team goes into victory formation in that circumstance and no one else hurls themselves at people but dirty Michael Bennett

In a way, the Seahawks tried to hurl us when it was clear we won the playoff game in 2015.

Then again, context shows it’s the playoffs and that being a last ditch effort to get the ball.

It's a punk move and I would be embarrassed if the Panthers did it.

Losing sucks, but you had 60 minutes to affect the game.

Kneel downs are a time honored tradition to show respect by not trying to continue on offense  and potentially rub it end at the end of the game when it's evident there is not enough time for the defense to get the ball back.

It helps to eliminate the potential for injury in a violent sport, and to show respect for your opponent.

Trying to blow up a kneel down is chickensh*t at any level of football, and especially at the pro level where men's livelihoods depend on it.

I can get what he's saying. They could impose a rule that if the score is close (Say within one possession) in the final 2 minutes of the game then you have to move the ball past the line of scrimmage or else the clock stops. It would definitely keep close games more interesting.

Give the other team extra time outs?

If they're in a victory formation, they should make the defense back up 5 yards.

LOL uh no and they would never do that...they won't be doing anything that increases the length of a game even though that idea is bad enough on it's own to be easily dismissed.
