I've noticed the last couple weeks they have been taking him out when we get inside the 10. He should be in there every play inside the 20. That's another player the defense has to be aware of. Don't understand that at all!!!!

coaching staff does that alot, and they'll do it more now that Stew has been running so well lately. Stew's stealing a huge portion of what potentially could be McCaffreys touches .

Nothings going to change until either Stew goes to another team  , or CMC goes to another team.

Ayy Red, I dont want to hear it unless CMC gets 20 carries a game. You have no idea what would happen if CMC get 180 carries instead of 90 (flipping carries amount with Stew) , or if he got 20-25 a game like every other normal lead back in the league.

Fact is he is still a rookie. Nobody is saying not to utilize him dude.

But this offense has been at it's best when multiple players are stepping up and getting touches. That's Cam, Stew, Funchess, and CMC. It's no coincidence that we've been rushing for 200 plus yards a game when those guys are firing on all cylinders.

Yeah it's not like we've had numerous 200 yard rushing games throughout the last several weeks using both Stew and CMC or anything. Let's get rid of one of those guys involved and force the full load on just one of them.

He wasn't drafted to start over Stew.

Sorry,  that's not what I meant. I don't believe that CMC is an every-down back, but I do believe that he should be more involved in the offense as a change-of-pace back,  especially when the running game is not working (which has been plenty).  We're going to have to get serious about Stew's eventual replacement in 2018. I don't know whether that's  Artis-Payne,  but it would be nice to see him get five to eight carries a game to see if he's really the possible heir (or a pipe dream).

My point im trying to convey is that McCaffrey would have much better stats and many more yards of he got the touches for it. 12 touches a game just doesnt compare to the 25-30 touches a game Lev Bell, Zeke, Fournette, Gurley , and the like get. People are comparing him to players that get 2x or more than 2x as many opportunities than he does to get more yards.

Panthers scored twice on running plays inside the 20 without him yesterday.

I cant remember how far the td pass was yesterday since I was at the game.

Again, better when he’s off the field.

At the end of the day the only thing that matters is where you're at in the W/L column. Why do you have such a hard on about his yards and stats? You don't sound like you're incapable of understanding the nuances of the game, but you are allowing your fandom to cloud your reasoning and judgment.

I'll fully admit I can be a Cam homer, but when the game is played, I don't care if he only has 150 yards passing as long as the team wins. You need to step back a bit and look at this from a different angle.

If you were the GM or coach what would do with him? Put him on the inactive list like John Ross or trade him for a third rounder?

We should not have used the 8th pick for a backup. If we would have drafted fournette or Cook would they back up stew?

With this coaching staff, probably yea. They are extremely loyal to Stew. They'd only leave another back in most of the time if they were constantly peeling off long runs

My biggest beef with maybe not using CMC or any other of our "speedy" wr's is on 3rd downs ... again yesterday was to many deep balls on 3rd downs.  Sometimes I do think it is just Cam wanting to take a shot and maybe not looking, seeing other routes to just get the first down.  I also see lots of time it's they are all running routes 20yrds down field.

Combined stats 14 carries - 51 yards, 8 catches - 51 yards, 1 TD

Is this a concern heading into the playoffs? I'm re-watching the game and man does Shula like overloading one side and it's not freeing(if that's a word) CMC up. It's too much traffic and I'm talking passing game here. We need to spread the offense out evenly. 2 WR on each side. They could back to feeding him the ball a lot like San Fran game, would that work?

Said it before, when he was having a few good games and everyone wanted to crown him, he needs to show more consistentcy in production. The last Two games have not been an aberration  for him they have been his norm this season.

everyone likes To forget the first half the season where he was pretty much garbage. Let’s just keep it real yo

we had 216 yards rushing on Sunday.

I mean,  part of the "problem" is that there wasn't a problem on Sunday.
