Possibility Wentz tore his ACL

Wentz is done and thus so are the birds. So let’s look at the playoff contenders.

Eagles - Done - they’ll fade without Wentz.

Saints - #1 contender imo. Have looked really tough. Only thing going for us against them in the dome is that it’s tough to beat a good team 3 times in one year.

Rams - Not scared. They remind me of the Vikings although Goff is probably not as mobile as Keanum. Gurley is a handful but I just don’t see them handling the big stage yet.

Vikings - Playing in Minny and having to beat them again would be tough. Would like to avoid if possible.

Interestingly enough...outside of the Saints I’d rather matchup against the division winners over the wildcard teams. ATL is starting to peak. Seattle is always tough.

If the playoffs started now we’d be in the 5 spot playing the Rams in LA. I honestly wouldn’t mind that matchup. No matter what tho it’s looking more and more likely that the road to the SB is going to lead through NO.

Slightly changing subjects but I Wouldnt be surprised if the Vikings go back to Bridgewater.  I think they have wanted to do that since he was cleared but havent quite had the opening.  I bet we see him starting by playoff time.  I dont know how the seeds play out but something tells me we see the Vikings in the playoffs, hopefully its the NFC championship game.

The Saints haven't beat any other likely playoff team besides the Panthers.  Sometimes, teams just don't match up well against each other.  I'd hardly consider them a #1 contender after losing to the Vikings, Rams, and Falcons.

That would be a really bad move on their part.  Keenum has played great this year.  For that matter, he played well today.  We were getting almost continuous pressure on him and his movement the pocket and running the ball allowed him to extend plays.  He made some great throws, but his receivers dropped a few critical passes.  And only one int was his fault.

You are probably right about the Eagles.

Saints have struggled in 3 of the last 4.  Only against us did they look solid.  Needed a superb finish and a bad call to beat the Skins.  Got controlled by the Rams, and lost an ugly game to the Falcons.

I agree about not seeing the Vikes again.  Don't want to play them in Minnesota in Jan.
