Just stating the facts.

Hey, WCU played App the other day in B ball.  Did you watch?

In other news, Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas friend.  I miss our banter back and forth from long ago.  Hope you are well.

Hmmm my guess would be because of the Norman debacle.

Happy holidays to you and the fam as well Sig. I’m sorry we can’t talk smack much anymore since happy appy moved to a different conference. Apparently this is the best start in NCAA history for a program that has made the jump up.

Dave won’t be doing anything. He’s retired.

Wilks won’t get a HC job this year. His defense beat up bad teams early in the year. Otherwise, we haven’t exactly been dependable or solid on D. It’s inflated numbers and hype.

i think Wilks is a good coach, but sadly this defense needs some renovations to get back to greatness. Somehow we went from young to old really fast.

Gettleman will have that team back in SB contention before the end of the decade.  He'll cut the dead weight that needs to be cut, which is what he was trying to do here before the season started.  JR didn't like that though and sent him packing cause it hurt his feelings and interfered with his plan to run the team like a Hardees franchise operated by an extended family.  But hey, we kept Olsen, TD, and Gano, and JR can smile as he has them over for dinner the next few years.

DG is the guy who made Gano one of the highest paid kickers in the league. He also let Ted Ginn walk and replaced him with a couple of jags from the bottom of other teams rosters.

For the good that DG did, he would take one step forward and two steps back.

That team is pretty loaded now, so they should be in Superb Owl contention with a few pieces anyway.  What will piss me off is if he somehow finally learns how to acquire a stout left tackle. He'll draft at DT though, eventually get rid of OBJ and undervalue Janoris Jenkins if his modus operandi holds true.

Man, damn. If this goes down, that means the Panthers have produced two NFL HCs, a GM, and had a GM fired to go on to get another job immediately all the while producing ZERO Lombardis.

You'd think we'd have a trophy case to rival the Pats' the way we've been bleeding talent out of this building.

And the coaches that NEED to leave dont go anwhere.

i mean that means Wilks isn't our DC anymore, which is a pretty big deal

It has been and always will be Riveras D no matter who the coordinator is. It can be more aggressive or more on the passive side. I never understood why people think losing a D coordinator is such a huge deal when your coach is one of the good defensive minds in the game.

If this happens, that means two former panthers executives have gone on to become a GM for a team in NY and two former DCs head coaches for teams in NY in back to back years.

Wonder if something like that has ever happened before.

payback for all the New Yorkers moving to Charlotte

    • No. It's gotta be Ward or Sanders if we go QB.
    • Because there's also not a QB that deserves to go #1 right now either. Missing on a QB in the Top 10 is a franchise killer.  Missing on a QB at #1 when you just missed on a QB at #1 two years prior after trading a haul to get the pick, is unimaginably bad. At this point my argument against a QB is also less about my desire of drafting T-Mac and just that it's not the year for anyone to take a QB #1, let alone a team devoid of talent in general as we are.   That very well could end up changing come draft time, but I just don't think any of the QB's this year are that type of prospect where a team like ours can take the chance on them.  We need to draft someone who is 100% going to pan out, and none of these QB's are going to end up like that by draft day.
    • Just got home. Most dominant game since we beat the brakes off the Flames towards the end of last year.  We own Swayman and the Bruins.        something special about this team….
