Considering Wilks' solid football knowledge and much better personnel to execute his aggressive scheme with the Giants

Are you high? Whatever you are ingesting, you need to stop. Wilkes is a product, not a solution.

Que up the "McDermott is gonna make an impression" music.

Luke runs our defense. Nobody else.

Stupid people piss me off.

Wilks was probably pissed about how Josh Norman left

Probably was, but I was thinking that Gettleman's way in general dealing with people in the building wasn't the most popular thing.

I bet a lot of fans would pay for the true scoop on Gettleman and his charges. @SIGCHI222 needs to scoop up some of that poo.

i mean that means Wilks isn't our DC anymore, which is a pretty big deal

We still have a handful of very important games left and are hanging on by a thread for the playoffs, nobody I'm the organization is giving any shits about thinking about this, why is it even a topic?

Gettleman will have that team back in SB contention before the end of the decade.  He'll cut the dead weight that needs to be cut, which is what he was trying to do here before the season started.  JR didn't like that though and sent him packing cause it hurt his feelings and interfered with his plan to run the team like a Hardees franchise operated by an extended family.  But hey, we kept Olsen, TD, and Gano, and JR can smile as he has them over for dinner the next few years.

Found this on my twitter timeline. Makes some sense in a way.

Have a look:

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000889778/article/potential-head-coachgm-pairings-five-big-questions-for-week-14?campaign=tw-nf-sf175840236-sf175840236&sf175840236=1&utm_source=t.co&utm_medium=referral

It would make sense. Then again, we've never really seen Dave with his own preferred coaching staff, considering he was benevolent enough to keep Rivera around for a little while longer.

But even so, he'd likely be comfortable around Wilks. Considering Wilks' solid football knowledge and much better personnel to execute his aggressive scheme with the Giants, it's a match made in heaven.

What say you?

Benevolence has nothing to do with it. JR decides our staff, has always been that way and is a big reasons for our mediocrity.

Man, damn. If this goes down, that means the Panthers have produced two NFL HCs, a GM, and had a GM fired to go on to get another job immediately all the while producing ZERO Lombardis.

You'd think we'd have a trophy case to rival the Pats' the way we've been bleeding talent out of this building.

Hmmm wonder what the common factor is year after year.

Wilks and Gettleman don't get along.  Won't happen.

Indeed.

You gotta think Wilkes would absolutely tell Gettleman to fug off if he was offered the HC position of the New York Football Giants.  Probably gonna wait on that Cleveland Browns position when it opens up.
