What QB do you like...

I would like Troy smith..but IDK with the uncapped year if he will be a FA.

I also like T. Smith but I think we also need to draft a guy and let them compete. If we get Smith you can get a guy with high upside but a project (let him sit for 2 or 3 seasons) later in the draft.

Wait a year or 2 and grab John Brantley. Yes I'm biased because I'm a Gator fan, but dude has great accuracy, and I bet he will be in the Heisman running soon.

I came here to post the same thing. I don't think we can wait that long though. But still like to draft him...I can see him translating in becoming a good NFL QB.

I dont think he will be available but theres a chance he will drop because of his conference, but we should really try to get Dan Lefevour from Central Michigan. He is able to throw a great deep ball and is pretty accurate not to mention he is probably the fastest quarterback coming out. He was a four year starter and has consistently improved each year. Just a great mobile quarterback who knows how to win.

Cant say MAC quarterbacks don't succeed at next level:Rothlisberger, Pennington, Leftwich, Gradkowski, Davis

Gradkowski and Leftwich aren't exactly shining examples of success, but I do like what I saw of Lefevour on Wednesday night. However, I also noticed he took a lot of snaps out of the pistol or shotgun. It makes me wonder how long it would take to develop him towards a pro style offense.

Leftwich had a couple good years, and I think Gradkowski looked good once Russell was benched and should play better than a #1 overall pick. I just think if we had a good mobile quarterback who can keep plays going when the line breaks down, along with a great running back duo our offense will be able to get really creative and keep teams guessing as to who is running with the ball. Not saying I want a wildcat formation, but like to see more spread.

Way too early to tell who the Panthers would be interested in, though Bill Polian was there for the CMU game, I doubt he is planning on drafting him.

I bet you given a year or two more Stephen Garcia will make a good Pro QB.

IDK about Garcia just with the past Florida quarterbacks with Spurrier. Walter football has some prospects which I've never heard of that they think are 1st round caliber players i.e. Locker from Washington, Mallett from Arkansas followed by a descent amount of mid round quality players. But if I remember right they had Dan Connor rated as a first round pick leading right up to the draft. Need less to say theres going to be a ton of prospects for QB that we really need to get a good look at and should be able to find a good player outside of the first round.

Locker is a LOCK for the first round if he comes out based on his physical size and athletic ability alone. Not to mention the guy has a cannon for an arm.
