Listening to this Jalen Ramsey Soundbite about Seahawks - Do The Panthers Lack Confidence?

Just because our players don't talk s**** to the media, doesn’t mean the team lacks confidence. You should listen to on the field sound bites, the stuff davis, Kuechly, and Cam say are for more “swagger-esque” than Ramsey griping about media.

Also, if you haven’t checked out mike Mitchell talking to the media last night.

I remember when Harper would say that. He knew we were going to the bowl game midway through the season. That team had confidence. It had what folks call swagger, and that is a lot more important than Gettleman, people on here, and people in general believe. We lost that, as well as, a great deal of talent when Getts pulled that franchise tag. Bradberry’s cool, but he doesn’t have IT. Ramsey’s got IT.

Oh well, can’t keep reminiscing on 2015. It’s 2017 about to be 2018.

Peppers has been saying the same thing man. What's the difference?

Team lacks confidence because there’s been so many who have told them to “tone it down”, whether it’s JR, Ron Rivera, the refs & other players (when players were bashing Cams head in and the refs were allowing it), and the fans (Panther fans included).

It sucks seeing all these other teams out here dancing & having fun on the sidelines, because when our team did it, everyone had a problem with it.

It's basically a owner problem and that's not going away any time soon.

Our team is soft and it comes from a soft coaching staff not players.

Soft players clearly coaching.  Dilly Dilly isn’t this the same exact coaching staff from 2015 except the next best HC in the league Wilks.  Who was on the staff. You’re funny I like you

Confidence is a booster if you can back it up, if not it is a problem.

Pre-2015 Norman is the perfect example, he had so much confidence he let players run by him, confident he had the make up speed to compensate, instead he got toasted. (And yes, in 2015 he finally got it all together and the confidence was an asset).

Everyone here keeps forgetting Oher had an above league average pass blocking year, because the drop off to Kalil I say that is on par with losing Norman.

two things...they lack the confidence of the coaching staff. all this staff does is, despite their ability to adequately prepare the players consistently, drop the burden of blame on the players.

also, shula believes more in his scheme than the players natural abilities and believes it's his scheme and strategizing that will bring the wins, but we all know that were it not for cam's ability to put this team on his back, not only would we not have a run game worthy of any respect at all, we wouldn't be getting many points.

the saints DC talked about the panthers offense and said that we run the same few plays every game, just out of different formations. does shula not think that at some point this would become easy for defenses to deal with?

if we ran multiple plays out of just a handful of formations...this would be harder to diagnose, but just a handful of plays out of multiple formations? sorry...that just sounds like it would be quite a bit easier to handle, which apparently it is.

The only thing Shula did was went to Auburn and talked to Guz. Its the staple Guz Malzan offense.. Same play but ran out of 3 different formations..Auburm had to remove offensive coordinator responsibilities from Guz bc teams figured the simplicity in the offense. That is why Cam is stuck. He has no true OC.

Completely agree. Cam hasn't looked like Cam in terms of swagger since 2015. Where is the dab? the superman? The team feeds off that energy and there is none from our players.

yea too many times the players look as listless and clueless as Rivera does during the game. No passion, no energy.

The difference is that Peppers and THIS defense isn't creating TO's and short fields for the offense....Guys aren't making big impact plays. BOTH sides of ball.
