More to the point though, Igo has said that Jerry Richardson is a big fan of Mike Shula for historical reasons (i.e. who his daddy is).

Basically, unless somebody offers Shula a head coaching job (college or pro) he's probably here to stay.

I wouldn't worry too much about Wilks leaving, even if he did..... it's not like the players forget how to play football. It is Rivera's defensive system. They just coach it.

The big take away is that the Panthers have field two top ten defenses under two different coordinators, and the same Head Coach.
