Sadly, it's also probably accurate.

In this organization, being liked by Jerry Richardson goes way farther than actually being good at your job.

if Rivera tried to improve his coaching staff I would feel differently but he is bound and determined to keep a coaching staff that is great need of upgrade

Honestly, I wouldn't expect any different even if the Panther were 4-8. Say that Hurney is legitimately an interim who will be replaced in June (lol), making him responsible for replacing Rivera wouldn't make much sense.

Rivera would be here another year to be evaluated by the new GM.

Perhaps, but JR and Hurney won't initiate that change, we know this based upon their past performance.

The only thing that will force change is the fan base and empty stadium seats.

A lot of us was just wishful thinking, but deep down knew nothing would happened. JR has his yes man back, his mediocre defensive head coach, and his family atmosphere back. What more could he want? We are doomed until we get new ownership. Unfortunately, by then Cam and Luke will be past their primes.

4 winning seasons

3 division championships

1 conference championship

 

I get that people want more but lest at least be honest about the facts

Um, Ron only has 2 winnings seasons not counting this one. Winning 9 games makes that 3 winnings seasons out of seven. Can you not count?

Plenty of coaches could muster 3 winning seasons with Luke/Cam. It takes a Ron Rivera to squander those two.
