He did what he's done all year. Outside of Ingram's one run he rushed 13 times for 13 yards. Even with Kamara's runs, average that out and it is not at all running at will against us. It was a solid rushing performance from them but nothing special that CJ would've changed.

Both Ingram and Kamara accounted for 6+ yards per carry. Nitpick all you want but they bent us over a barrel and showed us the 50 states.

how's mike remmers looking?

I think he's been out for a while but before that he wasn't nearly as terrible as Kalil but still not great. Correct me if I'm wrong @Vikesfan but I think he was playing the right side where he's better and not the left?

Believe it or not. When he has played he has been good. He hasn't played in the last 4 games.

Not sure what happened but I didn't want to sign him. I believed that he was serviceable and I know alot of people blamed him for the Superbowl lost but I was more upset that your coaching staff didn't do enough to help him (chip with a back, keep a TE on that side etc).

I didn't want him because I think he gave up something like 18 sacks in two seasons. Prior to his injury, I think he had given up 2 sacks if that. As a team we had 12 sacks given up on the season (before last game). 4 of those were when we wheeled out Sam Bradford on one leg.

Correct. Right side and two sacks (i think).

steve wilks has been more of a source for our defense's decline imo. we blitz one of the most in the league, but it's rarely creative so it's easily picked up and non-effective. that's partly why our secondary has been awful, but even so it just seems they're not getting consistent coaching back there.

but even so, the age of our des are showing. peppers is starting to get gassed and such. our defense does a horrible job when it comes to pattern matching seams and such for some ungodly reason. we never have an answer if you motion your wrs as well. it's very pitiful.

if greg olsen is back, that should help our offense a bit. cam finally healed up from his thumb injury and had one of his best games against the saints. sad thing is, everyone else sucked. curtis samuel going on ir really hurt, as he was probably on the cusp of being a stout wr2 even this year alongside funchess. made our offense less dynamic and impactful with him out.

i fully expect your dline to make matt kalil look silly. the issue with matt kalil isn't athleticism or talent, it's those mental mistakes he always makes. i remember reading something recently talking about how matt kalil admits he's making way too many mental errors and basically lost his confidence.

might be a competitive game if we limit our mistakes. who knows.

Let me give a bit of a breakdown.

Qb - Case. The QB most didn't want him but he keeps winning and now he's a savior. I still see some limitations in his game but I'm still a Teddy guy. Case has a tendency to miss high and behind. Against good teams, that leads to tip passes and ints. He has been fantastic in the pocket, however, using his legs to escape and buy time or takeoff for the first down.

RB - I'm not sold on Murray. He is very slow to the LOS. Once he gets there and is clean, he can pick up large chunks. However, he goes down easier than a Vegas stripper. Mckinnon, is the more explosive back but he has games where he tries to be Levon Bell and walk at the line of scrimmage only to get tackled at said line. If he is hitting the whole he is deadly.

WR- I honestly love Theilan and Diggs. Both can wreck a defense. Treadwell is probably a bust and if redrafted might be a 5th rounder. Floyd catches about 1 pass a game. Wright is the chain mover and tends to show up on 3rd down. He might have 3 catches a game but all can be back breakers on 3rd and long.

TE - Rudolph is an underrated TE. He's not Gronk but he gets the job done. Big, Quick and solid hands. Early injuries migth have sapped his game-changing play. Mogan had a concussion but is mostly a blocking guy. May get 1 catch or look a game. Usually a dump off guy.

LT - Reiff is like finding a $100 bill on the street and it being real. The guy has been amazing. I expected an improvement but he has locked down the left side this season. I think he has given up a sack in back to back games but was perfect before that.Pat Elflein

LG - Easton - Just a guy. Gets to the 2nd level ok. Weakpoint on the line

C -  Elflein. Athletic screen guy. Very good at hitting a guy to allow the guards to take over the block and getting to the 2nd level. Can be dominated by larger NTs (Star might do well, Short).

RG - Berger. Old man on the team. Was a center so is a smaller guard. Decent. Nothing to right home about.

RT - Hill. Picked off Jacksonvilles practice squad.  Good pass blocker, decent run blocker. He allows penetration but does so wide of the QB and allows case to step up. Very big surprise this season.

DEs - Griffen is having a great season but has quieted down the last 2 weeks. Hunter had 12.5 sacks last season but only about 4 this season. Still disruptive but not getting home. We use Robison on 3rd downs to rush from the inside.

DT - Johnson is a pass rusher but has been stout this season in the run game. Joseph is having another great campaign. Not much depth after that. Or most dominant 3-tech had knee surgery last season and the doctor damaged a nerve. He hasn't been heard from since.

LBs: Barr is having a dominant season and is making tackles. We are blitzing less with him and asking him to cover move. He's not making as many splash plays. Kendricks started off the year poorly. He missed about 14 tackles the first 3 weeks. Since then he has returned to form and raised his game. We run Nickle a lot and the 3rd LB is rarely used. He's solid but a Jag.

CB - Rhodes is solid but grabbie. As good as he is, he doesn't get a lot of picks. He breaks up passes of tackle short. The other side is Waynes. Mr. Completion on slants. If you run a slant to his side, its a catch and a tackle. If you throw it deep on him, there is a high probability of a catch of flag. Despite all this he is a decent corner. Just not worthy of the 11th overall pick. Nickle is played by Newman who is solid.

S. Harrison is a stud. Expect him at the LOS and back in coverage. He does it all and is used as our edge setter in the run.  The other safety is Sendejo. You will never see him man to man for good reason. He used to be horrible in taking angles but has turned into as big a hitter as Smith. Vikings fans are shocked. We're not sure who the guy wearing his jersey is but we thank them.

K - Makes all his FG. Missed a bunch of XP. Game before last he missed 2 kicks (blocked and missed). Good from 40 - 50. I wouldn't ask him to kick much more than that.
P - Decent. Nothing to write home about

Haven't followed the Vikings too much this season, but I'm surprised with what they've been able to do considering their options at QB.

Panthers have a lot to prove even without coming off their 2nd loss to the Saints. They haven't been all that great at home this year, really need to close the season strong. If we want to win this one, Rivera is going to have to quit acting like a pussy and trust his offense.

The truth about the Panthers is that they can beat the Patriots in Foxboro, and lose to the Bears by 14 points despite Trubisky completing only 4 passes during the game. In games that we've lost we often haven't been competetive, but when we click we look dangerous. It's hard to say what Panthers team will show up.

Last time we played you guys, Cam got hit a lot but I was really surprised that your OC didn't adjust. We saw that your offense didn't have a lot of short passes in it and as a result of hot reads, Cam was stuck holding the ball instead of dumping it off. With the addition of the Stanford guy, I expect that has changed.

I expect us to win but I wouldn't beat a $2 hoggie on it. You guys can drop 40 on anyone on any Sunday.

I know the feeling. We got 38 dropped on us by the Colts last season and most fans are waiting for it to happen again. Vikes can beat the Rams and lose to a bad Lions team. Everything has been going our way and the wins are a result of it. However, a few stops and its a different season.

The biggest issue for the Panthers is which running game will show up. We had a nice drive to start against NO but from there the run game fizzled out and it just became another game where we ended up relying on Cam to be superman and the numbskull Panthers fans scratch their heads looking for a way to blame Newton for the loss. Not all of the run game woes are on the RB's, there are issues with the way they are utilized and the mind numbing predictability of our up the middle runs don't help matters either.

If the Panthers can actually run the ball outside of Cam Newton, this will be a nice slug fest.
