Who do we root for thursday night?

I think we need to see what happens against the Vikings before we root for the Falcons over Aints, which makes them playing Thurs. annoying. If we beat the Vikings then I think the division is still within reach, and obviously for that we need to win out with the Aints losing twice. But even if they win Thursday there's still a chance Falcons beat them in the second meeting and either the Jets or Bucs upset them (never sleep on a divisional game and the Jets have been competitive in every game this year and them beating the Aints would not be a surprise).

On the other hand if we lose to the Vikings assuming the Falcons win Thurs, then we're out of the playoffs a that time.

So basically the same thing I said haha

Aints ... why is this even an option. Realistically there is one EC left, and it is between us and the failcons. I think Seattle is getting hot and they take the other  one. We want the falcons deflated by the time we play them in week 17

If you look at the schedules then yeah it's looking like Seattle will finish 11-5 for sure. The Panthers are basically playing for the 6th seed at this point, and clearing out some room behind them seems like an obvious answer.

New Orleans has to lose twice and the Panthers have to run the table to win the south. "Any given Sunday, blaa blaa blaa"....this isn't a likely scenario. I'd rather play it conservatively like our team does.

Need NO to beat Atlanta both times to end the year...then we can worry about getting another crack at NO in the playoffs.

Out of all the possible teams we could play in the playoffs, NO is the last one I want to see. Hopefully someone else can take them out

If we get a WC spot, go to NO and beat them that $h1t will make my year ... but they way we folded when we played them both times, just don't see it

I keep hearing this and I wonder why.

At Jacksonville 8-4 who is fighting for a playoff spot, and going against a sack happy defense.

Rams at home with the Division on the line

At Dallas in Ezekiel Elliot's first game back.  Dallas could be 8-6 when they play the Seahawks.

Arizona at home.

They could lose their next three.

Not gonna catch the aints that ship has sailed

It’s simply unreal how many people are saying this considering we have 3 of 4 home games and this core obliterated the Falcons in Atlanta the last time the division was on the line there, after we started 3-8-1 that year, Cam had his car accident, etc., and everyone left us for dead.

This conservative franchise needed Atlanta to sweep (upset, mind you) New Orleans in 2014...and got exactly that.

I'm with you. I don't really understand how it's "unrealistic" exactly. If NO loses this week and we win then we are tied with 3 games remaining. If NO wins Thursday then yes, at that point it is out of reach but if ATL beats them then we can absolutely take the division.

Yes, odds say NO wins it, but it isn't out of reach yet by any means. If ATL wins then we are right back in this thing.
