The difference between Kamara and McCaffery?

Man, I was thinking the same thing over the last few games. Our short passes and screens are SOOOOO SLOW! Timing is less-than-stellar. Cam telegraphs them and then does a little fade away lob. Bad. I'm under the assumption that Cam is coachable and wants to improve yet we don't really see any changes in his poor habits... That leaves me blaming the coaching staff.

So you think Cam is running the screen passes that Shula calls slower than he has been COACHED to run them in practice?

You actually think he's consciously decided to SLOW THINGS DOWN in the actual game?

At the risk of being a prisoner of the moment, Kamara looks like the best back in the NFL to me.  He has a perfect combination of size, speed, power, and runs like a madman.

I love CMC but Kamara is a better RB.

yeah, I think its a combination of both factors. Kamara is in a better system sure, but he's shown that he's a better player as well. I've seen plays plenty of times where he shouldve been dead to rights but he somehow keeps his balance, eludes a tackle, or just bounces off dudes.

I think that's really what seperates the elite RBs from the just average , good , or mediocre ones. 99.99999% of players aren't going to be fast or elusive enough to get through huge groups of defenders every time, so what makes RBs special is ability to break tackles or slip off of them. McCaffrey has 0 ability to power through dudes or break off of arm tackles. IMO he's a receiver , but to be fair he's not in a great system, with a great line, and he gets pretty limited carries. But then again Kamara has gotten a very simular workload and done much more with it.

At the end of the day you can try to blame the system around the RB but what matters is results on the field, and Kamara is producing much more of them and has way more touchdowns and explosive plays. He's just better. Its not to say CMC is a bad player, but I don't think he's a good RB.

No. I think our entire offense lacks timing. I also think that Cam has some bad habits that keep him from reaching his full potential. I think these are both issues that hurt our offense and are both issues that should be remedied by a quality coach. I don't think that Rivera and Shula are quality coaches.

CMC has absurdly good hands, but the dude hasn't even cracked the top 30 in RB yardage. Meanwhile our QB still has to carry the load in the run game more often than not. This isn't what we needed at 8th overall. Whether you want to talk about CMC himself, Shula, Cam, or whatever. This much is clear, we need to get more out of our 8th overall pick. Or we're going nowhere.

Im sick of hearing about Kamara already, past 24 hours, time to focus on the vikes. fug the aints, and pray someone knocks them out of the playoffs and we dont effing face them again this year.

if they follow the trend of the NFC South last couple years, its their turn to go to the SB and lose. But I'm pretty sure Brees wont be getting MVP tho
