The difference between Kamara and McCaffery?

Is McCaffery a bad football player? No he’s pretty solid. His hands are the best I have ever seen out of the backfield. He is probably a better receiver(route runner) than Kamara as well. But Kamara is clearly the better running back. I brought this up not to bash Christian, but to illustrate why we will probably still have a need at running back this offseason.

The difference between the two and what in my opinion makes Kamara better? Balance on contact. I’m sure Christian checked all the boxes at the combine and timed better but Kamara has something that can’t be measured in shorts. Break tackle and second effort yardage. Once you get to Kamara that’s only part of the battle there seems to be a good chance he isn’t going down.

Christian just doesn’t have that in him for whatever reason. You can’t be an every down back without it. You can’t make a living between the tackles without it. I just don’t see us not drafting another one this offseason.

Both are works of art but one team uses water colors while the other uses broken crayons

It’s more than that... It’s not so much how they are used but what they do once the ball is in their hands... Kamara makes more between the tackles and in the open field.. take that touchdown early in the game for example when I believe it was Shaq that poped him but he still powered into the end zone for example. That isn’t something Christian can do.

Different styles. Kamara is a bit shorter stockier closer to a bowling ball while christian can probably speed thru a lane a bit faster. Both great in their own way. I think cmc can run effectively 12 to 15 times a game especially with a lead back. He can break the odd long one.

I don’t think they are 2 different styles seeing how they are both used the same way. Also they both are used as the change of pace back and have similar rushing and receiving stats. Kamara is 5’10 McCaffery is 5’11. About a 10 pound difference in weight.

Lol no Shula uses CMC as another Fozzy Whittaker while Sean Peyton uses Kamara the way CMC only dreams he could be used.

At the risk of being a prisoner of the moment, Kamara looks like the best back in the NFL to me.  He has a perfect combination of size, speed, power, and runs like a madman.

I love CMC but Kamara is a better RB.

    • The Falcons FO is getting cleared out if Penix doesn't hit. What a monumental failure it would be to give an old QB coming off an achilles injury a 4 year deal and then spend a top 10 pick on a failed QB prospect, especially when they desperately need defensive talent.
    • just fyi this includes the 2 games he came in a threw like 4 screen passes late in the 4th to run out the clock after Dalton was benched in blowout losses
    • The panthers have the worst scoring differential in the league, 28th in points per game. He’s shown absolutely nothing to indicate he’s the coach of anything. If you were basing it off this year alone he’d be fired. The product on the field is worse than reich and the worst parts of Rhule.  Canales offensive coordinator is a random jabroni who’s just followed him around since Seattle and has a uh, unique, relationship with the coach.
